#RePage: @marinatestino - “Last stop in #THEGREENROOMS: THE OUTSIDE WORLD 🌿🌈 Excited to end this mini series with a look at the biggest green room of all… the world outside our four walls 🏠. We can choose to take the slow reintroduction back outside as a chance to rethink our relationship with the cities, forests, oceans, mountains, deserts we both live in and travel to, treating it all as if it was our own home even when far away. Let’s get back outside slowly...we will surely be returning to a new kind of ‘normal’ when this all ends so here are some tips that we can think about now so we’re ready to implement them later on... See you outside! ☀️🤸🏻♀️ 1. Buy organic and at local food markets to support farmers. 2. Appreciate your time in nature and respect it. 3. Grow something, either in your own garden or through volunteering 4. Don't litter in nature *especially cigarette butts. 5. Bring your own utensils when picnicking instead of using plastic. 6. Take more public transport, walk and cycle. 7. Switch to driving electric and try to avoid just driving yourself drop people off on your way to work :) * Also make sure your tires are inflated properly: an under-inflated tyre considerably increases a vehicle's fuel consumption. avoid excessive braking or acceleration too. 8. Choose train over airplane when possible: a plane emits 300 times more carbon dioxide than a train for the same distance. 9. Take part in citizen science schemes to help scientists understand the world better, from measuring the air pollution in your local area to counting the number of butterflies in your garden (check out https://www.zooniverse.org/) 💚 Thanks for following along #TheGreenRooms!
