Mala: 12) ‘We broke the fourth wall’
There had never been a stranger day than the day Malachai and Frick had been spotted sitting together somewhat peacefully, getting along all in the name of a simple video game.
It had started out with Frick wandering again. Having given up his act made such a thing no longer necessary, but it had always been a fair way to find and gather resources. Little things could always be found. Jewelry was common, as were clothes. Old notes, outdated tech. Skeletons (which were occasionally brought back for Morbid). His latest trip had brought up his best find thus far.
"Portal" and "Portal 2" had already proven to be quite an interesting concept.
Now, Frick was having no issues figuring out the soluPltions to test chambers. He was even figuring out shortcuts, tricks that the developers were likely to have missed. Where problems arose was his speed, or lack thereof. His reflexes simply weren’t up to par with what was necessary for some of the more speed-based tests.
So when Malachai had walked by, the invitation was extended. Malachai had the reflexes needed, Frick had the problem solving skills, and this entire experience had turned into a show of just how badly they could cheat at every single test.
Plus, it hadn’t been hard to convince the gunslinger to let Frick be the one to drop Anger in the incinerator. That alone made having to rely on someone else entirely worthwhile.
