Thank you so much to the over 250 people who sent in their predictions for this edition of the predictions game!!! I’ve been especially pleased to see the numbers of first time participants this time around. I hope these will help everyone take full advantage of the gymternet’s collective expertise going into Rio and give us all a better idea of what to expect. Keep in mind that these predictions were made before line-ups were set, so not all of these gymnasts are actually competing for these medals (especially in the all around). Please check back after the games to see which bloggers came the closest with their predictions. 2016 P&G GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS PREDICTIONS GAME

It’s that time of year again! I’m going to run another predictions game for the 2016 P&G Championships. The competition itself will be held in St. Louis from June 23rd to 26th, but before that there’s an equally important competition taking place!

Send me your predictions for who will be the top 3 in each event (VT, UB, BB, FX) and in the all around for junior and senior women. Before the competition starts I will make a post showing what people think will happen and afterwards I’ll make a post listing the winners (people who guessed correctly in either one category or overall).

IF YOU WIN: You basically just get bragging rights, but it can also be good publicity for your blog and a way to gain followers (including me).

Voting will be open from now until 10pm EST on Tuesday, June 21st. I understand that people will want to guess at different times, but please do it at some point because the more people who do this the better it will work. Also, please reblog this post and spread the word about it so that there can be as many participants as possible.

After submitting, please make sure that you receive confirmation from me within 24 hours, otherwise I might not have received them.

This is the first predictions game of the Olympic season and I’m excited to be able to use this to see where public opinion stands on the gymternet!

HERE is the list of athletes who are competing. I will post start lists and any other news as it becomes available. If any gymnasts scratch certain events or withdraw from the competition after people have already made predictions, I will notify anyone who picked them and give them a chance to re-do them.

2015 U.S. Secret Classic Predictions Game Winners

Over 60 people sent in their predictions of the medalists on each junior and senior event and in the all-around for this weekend’s U.S. Secret Classic. You can take a look at what people thought would happen here and here. Now it’s time to recognize the winners! So here it goes:

Junior AA: Hernandez, Smith, Foberg

2015 Secret U.S. Classic Predictions Game Senior Results

Around 60 people sent in predictions for the top three finishers on each even and in the all around of this weekend’s U.S. Classic. These are the results for the seniors, who will compete at 6:30 pm tonight, Saturday, July 25th. Junior predictions results are here. Thank you so much to everyone who participated!

Note: Although it was recently announced that Kyla Ross would only be doing bars and beam at this competition, she is still represented in the all-around and floor predictions because the announcement was made after the predictions game had ended.

After the competition, look out for a post naming the winners of the prediction game!

2015 European Championships Predictions Game

The predictions game is back!!!!

2014 WORLDS PREDICTIONS GAME

The 2014 World Gymnastics Championships will take place in Nanning, China from October 3-12, but there's an even more prestigious competition taking place right here on tumblr...

Here’s how it works: send me your predictions of the medalists (top 3 finishers) on each WAG event (VT, UB, BB, FX) and in the all around and team finals in order to win fame and maybe followers.

Before the competition starts I’ll make a post of all the predictions and afterwards I’ll make one listing the winners (who will get publicity and some pretty major bragging rights).

SUBMIT YOUR PREDICTIONS HERE

You have until 11 PM EST on Tuesday, September 30th to submit. Please don’t be shy about sending in your predictions (I’ll only post about you if you win). Also, please try not to share your predictions too much so that everyone can enter their own opinions. You may only change your predictions if a gymnast you included withdraws from the competition (in which case I will notify you). 

When I receive your predictions I will send you a message (provided that your ask is open). If you think you have submitted your predictions, but didn't receive any message from me within 24 hours of submitting it, please let me know or try sending them again.

PLEASE REBLOG AND SPREAD THE WORD BECAUSE THE MORE PEOPLE WHO PARTICIPATE THE BETTER IT WILL WORK!

Nationals Predictions Game Winners

It was a great (and at some points very unexpected) nationals and now it's time for the real awards! Thank you so much to everyone who participated. Please let me know if I left you out or spelled your URL wrong. Also, I won't be acknowledging the anons who submitted (because they obviously didn't want recognition).

JR AA: Foberg, Dennis, Flatley

SR AA: Biles, Ross, Nichols

JR VT: Dennis, Trautman, Chiles

No on got this completely right, but newtonthinksimattractive, andreea-iridons, missmebymytaco, elss23, jyosef, a-raducan, auntycosima, evilhappilymarried, bailies-keys, cristygen, keep-calm-and-irish-dance, dupontcastle and mustdefine all came pretty close. 

JR BB: Vasquez, Smith, Navarro

Oh boy, this was completely unexpected... amanaryouserious, jordynslefteyebrow, and elss23 guessed that Smith would medal and keep-calm-and-irish-dance, missmolly1994, and gymnastics-my-love guessed that Vasquez would. 

SR BB: Ross, Baumann and Biles (T)

No one predicted the tie, but fiftyfiveinafiftyfour and uchi-mura came close, predicting that it would be Ross, Biles, Baumann. 

JR FX: Dennis, Smith, Chiles and Nguyen (T)

Again, no one predicted the tie,   but missmebymytaco, movedtotheinternet, same-dream-china, and brittanyalzfan said Dennis, Smith, Chiles and evilhappilymarried said Dennis, Smith, Nguyen.

SR FX: Biles, Skinner, Nichols
