When we say the US women are qualified to the Olympics...what does that mean exactly? I’m assuming that status transfers to whatever governing body is in charge? Is that decided by USOC? FIG? IOC?

I’m guessing you can’t lose that qualification. But what if there is no governing body (unlikely though that is). And what happens to worlds next year. Does a country have to have a governing body to submit a team?

It’s sad that we live in a world where what should be basic human decency has become an extraordinary act of kindness, yet here we are, and therefore I applaud Aly Raisman and her family for fucking acknowledging the grossness that is this situation and speaking up in support of the victims.

Every other adult who’s defending abusers/discrediting victims, too busy waving their US flag or showing how cute their dress is, or even just shutting up at a time like this, can go rot in hell along with Nassar and friends for all I care.
