The first hero. The progenitor of the Hero's Spirit himself.
Now drawn in the Wisdomverse (by @linderosse, check her out) style for the first time.
(that i know of)
Once again, this wasnt made by Lin. I have been busy honing my skills, and i decided to draw the better warriors here as practice. once again, im quite proud of my growth as an artist!
the hands are still my biggest grievance with the drawing, but ah well. each time i practice, i get better.
speaking of time... im doing him next. i cant wait! :)
oh yeah! i also mixed his design with the fierce deity's to make this
my two favorite zeldas are easily fable and echo, as ive made abundantly clear. and look, i would draw some other wielders of wisdom, but i have no self control
Explaining the Wisdomverse (by @linderosse) Timeline
I decided I wasn't mentally ill enough and, to remedy that pressing issue, wrote nonstop for hours to create... this. Every last thing on the Wisdomverse Timeline, explained... because someone named @parker2797 asked Lin for a spreadsheet explaining it and I am more than happy to do it first.
Also I added all the multiverse crossover shenanigans (which are canon to Wis) for funsies.
Oh, and I thought you might enjoy this @mobthoughts

Timeline
Okay, here goes.
Start of Everything
The Golden Goddesses create the world and Null is imprisoned.
First Imprisoning War (From Hyrule Historia)
Hylia and First (Hylia’s Chosen Hero) fight in the First Imprisoning War against Demise’s forces of demons.
First’s Ascension
After an encounter with Majora, First becomes a dark god known as the Fierce Deity.
Skyward Sword’s Past
Sky (Hero of the Skies) and Sun (Hylia reincarnated as the first Zelda) travel back in time to eliminate the Demon Lord Demise. Impa stays behind to guard against Demise’s return.
Skyward Sword
Sky and Sun fight Girahim and Demise.
Interloper War
A group known as The Interlopers try to use dark magic to take over the not-yet-founded kingdom of Hyrule. They’re banished to the Twilight Realm. (As an aside, I checked Lin’s timeline, and the Interloper War just… wasn’t on it? Weird.)
Sky and Sun found the kingdom of Hyrule as its first king and queen.
Through a dream, (dreams have a lot of power in Nintendo’s franchises; see the sort of dreamish world of Subcon and the fact that Kirby is always sleeping. Also, I’d be remiss not to mention Koholint.) Sky is transported to the Mario Universe. He participates in Mario Kart with Wild (The Hero of The Wild)
Second Imprisoning War
The Hero of Men (Four’s grandfather, perhaps?) and Gustav (King of Hyrule) fight against an army of demons led by Proto Ganon (Ganon from FSA). The Picori (Weird mouse-like things from the sky) descend and give the Hero of Men the Picori Sword. He uses it to seal the demons away in a magical bound chest.
The Minish Cap
Four (The Hero of the Minish, Hero of the Four Sword, and Hero of Light smushed together) and Dot (Princess Zelda. Same level of mushed-together-ness as Four) fight against former Picori mage apprentice Vaati. The Picori Sword is reforged into the Four Sword.
Four Swords
Four and Dot fight Vaati, who previously became a far stronger and far less cunning enemy at the end of Minish Cap.
Four Swords Adventures
Four and Dot fight against Vaati, a newly created Shadow, (Shadow Link) and Proto Ganon. Placed here rather than after Twilight Princess in the actual Zelda games timeline by Nintendo because this just makes more sense.
Hyrule Civil War
Time’s (The Hero of Time) mother dies, but brings the newborn Time to the Deku Tree before she passes.
Here, the timeline splits into three. I’ll go over each one from left to right. I hope it isn’t too confusing!
Downfall Timeline
Ocarina of Time
The original timeline in Wis. Time is defeated by True Ganon (Ganon from OoT all the way to the beginning of the Wild Era) and he claims the full Triforce.
Fallen Imprisoning War
Elegy (Princess Zelda from OoT in the Downfall Timeline) along with the Seven Sages, Mido, and Kasuto (Hyrule mirror-version of Kafei from Majora’s Mask) seal True Ganon and the full Triforce in the Sacred Realm. Every last knight in Hyrule dies in the final battle to seal Ganon. Elegy uses time magic to screw over every Zelda theorist and creates another timeline in an attempt to give someone a happy ending.
A Link to the Past
Legend (The Hero of Legend and New Hero of Hyrule/Hero of Worlds smushed together) and Fable (Princess Zelda. Same level of smushy-ness as Legend) fight and kill Ganon with the help of Maple (witch’s apprentice) and Sahasrahla. (Descendent of OoT Rauru)
Oracle of Ages
Legend is summoned to Labrynna by the Triforce. Legend travels back in time 400 years. (right before Four’s era. This gets his name in the history books there.)
Oracle of Seasons
Legend is summoned to Holodrum by the Triforce.
Oracle Games upon being linked together Twinrova (surrogate mothers of Ganon) botch the resurrection of True Ganon, bringing him back as a mindless beast. Legend kills him again.
Link’s Awakening
Legend gets traumatized on the return journey from Holodrum. He gets picked up by Sahasrahla.
Marin is transported to the War of Eras/The Convergence War
A Link Between Worlds
Legend and Fable meet Ravio and Princess Hilda, their mirror versions from Lorule. They fight Yuga, Ganon’s mirror version, and Ganon himself after being merged with Yuga. (The only way this could have happened is if Ganon was resurrected again sometime between Link’s Awakening and ALBW. If we put one of the two Satellaview Zelda games in between them, it would fit perfectly and explain how Ganon was resurrected again while Legend was gone. But that’s just what I think, and it’s not on the official Wisdomverse timeline, so I won’t explain further.)
Fable is pulled into the World of Light because of a dream. She is joined by Lullaby (Zelda from the Child Timeline) and Phantom (Zelda from Spirit Tracks.)
In Super Mario RPG, you can find a version of Link sleeping in an inn. Since Super Mario RPG was released on the SNES, I’ll just assume the Link in question is Legend.
Triforce Heroes
Legend, Silent (Link from Echoes of Wisdom and Cadence of Hyrule smushed together) and Hyrule (Not the actual kingdom, the Hero of Hyrule from Zelda 1 and Adventure of Link) team up in the northern kingdom of Hytopia after Silent and Hyrule are transported to Legend’s era. Together, the three of them fight Lady Maud. (I don’t think Wisdomverse has explained this yet, so I’ll assume they were summoned by the Triforce like Legend was in the Oracle games.)
Echoes of Wisdom
Echo (Princess Zelda from Echoes of Wisdom and Cadence of Hyrule. Also known as Aurora or Zelda the First) and Silent fight an echo of True Ganon and the void god Null.
Cadence of Hyrule
Silent, Echo, and Cadence (Main character of the Crypt of the Necrodancer series. She gets pulled into Hyrule Kingdom from her own universe and teams up with Silent and Echo to fight Octavo.
Silent gets transported to Legend’s era.
The Tragedy of Princess Zelda/Echo’s Curse.
After Dalton (the King of Hyrule) dies, Echo gets put to sleep for 400 years by the Wizard and her manipulated brother, Prince Hansen.
Cadence of Hyrule’s future
Echo, Silent, Cadence, and Downfall Timeline Skull Kid travel to this time from Cadence of Hyrule and fight Ganon from the Era of Decline
The Legend of Zelda/Zelda 1
Hyrule (again, the Hero of Hyrule, not the kingdom) and Dawn (Zelda from Zelda 1 and Adventure of Link) fight and kill Ganon from the Era of Decline.
Adventure of Link
Hyrule gets the Triforce of Courage to wake up Echo while the Eyes of Ganon (the name of Ganon’s followers) try to kill him so they can spread his blood on Decline Era Ganon’s ashes (like one would spread jam on toast. ew.) and revive him.
Hyrule gets summoned to Legend’s era.
That is the end of the Downfall Timeline. Next, we’ll move on to the Adult Timeline.
Adult Timeline
Elegy creates this timeline in an attempt to give Time a happy ending.
Ocarina of Time
Time pulls the Master Sword from its pedestal, sleeps for seven years until he’s able to use it, defeats True Ganon, and Requiem (Zelda from the Adult Timeline) and the Seven Sages seal him away in a place between dimensions. Requiem, in an attempt to let Time live through the seven years he missed, sends Time back in time, (lol that’s funny to say) resulting in the Child Timeline. (We’ll cover that later.)
During Time’s seven year long slumber, he is sent to Super Smash Bros. 64 and Super Smash Bros. Melee’s singleplayer campaigns along with being sent to the World of Light.
Through the power of dreams, Time is sent to Super Smash Bros. Melee’s single-player campaign.
The Great Flood
Ganon breaks out of interdimensional supermax. The people of Hyrule pray for a hero to save them, but when Requiem sent Time back and created the Child Timeline, the Hero’s Spirit (The thing that chooses heroes? I think? It’s never really fully explained.) was removed from the timeline with him. Seeing no other option, the Golden Goddesses open up the skies and flood the world with deadly rain.
The Wind Waker
Wind (The Hero of Winds) and Tetra (Zelda in Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass) fight True Ganon and kill him with the help of Daphnes (King of Hyrule and Requiem’s son in Wis.)
Wind and Tetra are sent to the War of Eras/Convergence War
Wind is summoned to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Four, and the World of Light via magical dreams.
Phantom Hourglass
Wind and Tetra enter the World of the Ocean King and fight Belium. They think it was a dream until Wind spots one of the people they met there- Linebeck- sailing away on his boat.
Wind and Tetra found New Hyrule as king and queen.
Spirit Tracks
Phantom and Spirit (The Hero of Spirits) fight Malladus and Chancellor Cole
Phantom is sent to The War of Eras/Convergence War.
Phantom dreams and enters the World of Light.
Spirit is also summoned to the World of Light and possibly some other Smash games, but he only appears in the background of the Spirit Tracks stage inside of a train. (Makes sense, given his character in Wisdomverse doesn’t like adventuring as much as he likes TRAINS.)
And that is the end of the Adult Timeline. Phew. That was easy. Now, we’ll cover the Child Timeline.
The Child Timeline
Time is sent back by Requiem to relive his childhood, but his fairy Navi immediately flies away from him and leaves him alone in a timeline where most people don’t know who he is. The first thing he does is alert the Royal Family of the threat of Ganon. The Royal Family already suspected this because of Lullaby’s ability to see her other selves' lives from the two other timelines.
Majora’s Mask
Time is searching for Navi when his ocarina and horse are stolen by Skull Kid. He pursues them into the alternate world of Termina, where he gets stuck in a three-day long time loop. He earns the Fierce Deity Mask and defeats Majora, the demon controlling Skull Kid. This breaks him out of the time loop.
Time is teleported to the War of Eras/Convergence War.
Through the power of dreams, Time (as a child this time) is sent to Super Smash Bros. Melee’s single-player campaign and the World of Light.
The Third Imprisoning War (Really? They couldn’t come up with anything original?)
Time, Kasuto, and Lullaby fight against True Ganon and Twinrova’s forces. Time loses an eye here.
Lullaby is sent to Super Smash Bros. Melee’s single-player campaign in a dream.
A magic dream teleports Lullaby to Super Smash Bros. Four’s single player campaign.
Lullaby is transported to the World of Light via a dream.
Failed Execution of Ganon
The Seven Sages try to execute Ganon. The execution fails because of a divine prank, and Ganon breaks free of his chains, rips the sword they stabbed him with from his chest, and is able to cut down one of the sages before they open up the Twilight Mirror and banish him there.
Twilight Princess
Twilight (The Hero of Twilight) and Dusk (Zelda from Twilight Princess) team up with Midna- the titular Twilight Princess- in order to defeat Zant and Ganon. Midna goes back to the Twilight Realm and shatters the Twilight Mirror, cutting off the connection between the realms.
Link’s Crossbow Training
Twilight trains with his crossbow. That’s all I can really say about this one. I’m not sure what significance it has on the timeline at large, if it has any significance at all.
Twilight has a magical dream and is transported to Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s story mode.
Twilight has another magical dream and is transported to Super Smash Bros. Four’s singleplayer campaign.
Dusk is transported to Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s story mode as well.
Dusk is also transported to Super Smash Bros. Four’s singleplayer campaign.
That’s the end of the Child Timeline. But now, all three timelines merge together during the War of Eras! Or the Convergence War, I guess. Wisdomverse uses both.
Hyrule Warriors
The War of Eras/Convergence War begins, and Hyrule is put under siege by Cia, Zant, Girahim, Volga, Skull Kid, Yuga, Wizzro, and… Proto Ganon, apparently. (That’s what the timeline says, but Proto Ganon looks like a blue boar monster, not like a Gerudo like in Hyrule Warriors. Huh.) Proto Ganon and Cia brought them together sometime before each of their defeats to help them fight. To defend Hyrule, Lana (Cia’s sister) along with Warriors (Link from Hyrule Warriors/The Hero of Eras) and Artemis (Princess Zelda from Hyrule Warriors) summoned heroes from across time to help them defend the kingdom. Unfortunately, bringing people from across time and space ended up merging the timelines together and later destroying the Kingdom of Hyrule.
The Zonai descend from the sky like the Picori long before them. Most of them end up dying out besides TotK Rauru and his sister Mineru.
TotK Rauru and Sonia found a new kingdom of Hyrule before going and sealing the many demons who plagued the land in shrines.
Age of Imprisonment
Flora (Princess Zelda from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom) gets sent back in time to Rauru and Sonia’s era. Suave Ganon (Yes, that is what he is called on the timeline. No, that is not his actual name.) murders Sonia and steals her Secret Stone, starting a new war known as… The Imprisoning War. Nintendo is truly known for its creativity. After the broken Master Sword gets sent back in time to her, Zelda consumes a Secret Stone and morphs into the Light Dragon to heal it.
Ten thousand years before the Great Calamity, a phantom of Suave Ganon named Calamity Ganon attacks Hyrule. The Sheikah monks foresaw this, however. In advance, they created the Divine Beasts and Guardians, which with the help of the princess and the hero, defeated Calamity Ganon.
The Great Calamity
Flora, Wild, Rhoam (the King of Hyrule) and the four Champions try to stop a surprise attack by Calamity Ganon. Ganon had remembered his previous defeat and took control of the Divine Beasts, allowing him to kill the champions and mortally wound Wild. Flora holds back the Calamity alone while Wild heals in the Shrine of Resurrection for one hundred years.
During the Calamity, a box containing Zelda’s old friendly Guardian Terrako falls off a shelf, allowing the little Guardian to travel back in time, creating an alternate timeline. I’ll cover it first before going back to the main timeline.
Averted Calamity Timeline
Age of Calamity
Civil, (Link from Age of Calamity) Fauna, (Zelda from Age of Calamity) the Four Champions, the new Champions from the main timeline, Rhoam, Purah, Robbie, Maz Koshia, and the greatest character in fiction- Master Kohga- work together to stop Harbinger, Calamity Ganon and, in the immortal words of Linderosse, “That one twink from Age of Calamity.”
Well, that’s the end of the Averted Calamity Timeline. I’m so happy that’s all it was. Anyway, back to the main timeline.
Breath of the Wild
Wild awakens from his slumber and with the help of Flora and the new Champions, defeats Calamity Ganon, leaving the people of Hyrule to rebuild. Wild is transported to the World of Light and Mario Kart 8 thanks to a magic dream.
Tears of the Kingdom
Flora and Wild investigate under Hyrule Castle, but end up waking up Suave Ganon. Flora accidentally uses the Secret Stone and travels back in time to TotK Rauru and Sonia’s era. Wild tries to use the Master Sword against Suave Ganon, but it breaks and he loses an arm. Wild sends the sword back in time to Flora, gets a new arm from TotK Rauru, and obliterates Suave Ganon. With Rauru’s light power, Wild reverts Flora back to normal from a dragon. Unfortunately, he can’t do this perfectly, resulting in Flora keeping some dragon features like glowing blue horns. Also, Wild loses his Zonai arm and Flora makes him a new one with Zonai tech.
That’s the entire timeline! Well, there’s also these:
The Faces of Evil
An unknown Link (Legend?) saves the land of Koridai from a version of Ganon. Because it would be funny, let’s say that the Ganon in the CDI games is the Ganon who got his revival botched by Twinrova.
The Wand of Gamelon
An unknown Zelda (Fable?) saves the land of Gamelon from Ganon after Link and the unnamed king fail to be competent in the slightest.
The Zelda Movie
Since we know nothing about this movie, its place on the timeline and its canonicity are unknown.
Okay, that’s everything. (for real this time.) There are other Zelda games not in the timeline- like the previously mentioned Satellaview games- but I won’t talk about them because… they’re not mentioned in the timeline. Anyway, that’s all I got. Have a good day, and I hope I didn’t miss anything!
