I like to think that House on a regular basis doesn’t really listen to Cassian, but when Cassian just has the sudden inclination to plan things for Nesta (which he often does in my head), the House will always help and get excited about it. The House is like their child or rather Nesta’s child in which Cassian is the new step-dad that the House only semi-likes and is mostly wary of. But when Cassian says “Hey House, try to keep Nesta from coming down to the kitchen, I’m going to make breakfast for her,” the house is locking doors and distracting Nesta when she wakes up in the morning by showing her cool things it made by itself. When Cassian’s like “Nesta likes music, do you think you can make instruments that play by itself?” the House is like why yes my semi-annoying Illyrian, here’s a full orchestra that knows 25 of Nesta’s favorite songs. There are no better bonding moments between the House and Cassian than when the bonding has to do with loving Nesta Archeron.

I think it would be hilarious if when the House was giving things to Nesta when she requests it, it was taking it away from somewhere else. Imagine Rhys in his estate just having made a cup of tea, it’s all steaming and hot. He hasn’t even taken a sip. He goes to get a newspaper, lounging on his chair, puts that tea on the side table and begins to read.

Somewhere in the House, Nesta requests a cup of tea, and what is the House going to do? Oblige. So poof.

Rhys reaches out for that mug, his throat parched, but he comes back empty handed. Well he reaches further, scrambles for the feel of it, his hand moving across the table, still nothing. He lowers that paper aggravated, sure that he put a cup there, but it’s gone. Poof. It’s disappeared. Rhys stares at the table for a moment thinking his mind’s playing tricks on him, but the cup never appears. He looks around, and finds no misplaced mug. So, inevitably he shakes his head, calls it a Monday, makes another, and goes on with his day.

But next morning, same situation. Next afternoon, same situation. Four days later, same situation. Rhys is starting to think he’s been cursed or someone is playing tricks on him or he is going insane. Feyre doesn’t believe him. Amren thinks he’s crazy. Mor thinks its funny. None of them are the wiser.

Nesta however sips her tea thinking that the quality of the taste has improved substantially.
