Angel sat patiently as Hunter carefully dried off her wings, humming quietly to try to keep herself awake. Usually when she showered she tried to keep her feathers as dry as possible, so she didn’t have to go through this whole process, but at some point the grime built up was too much. The oil on some of her feathers kept most dirt and debris at bay, but her softer down feathers were a different story. She was grateful that Hunter would be willing to help her with such a tedious and mundane task, even when she insisted she could do it by herself.
“Ya know, you don’t have to do this every time,” she said when she felt him shift to work on her other wing. “I’m sure you have better things to do right now.”
