This reverse-Inhuman theory IS AWESOME and is very similar to one/several splinters of mine eg where its threat to the Inhumans is not a threat of death but one of being changed/de-Inhuman-ifid. If you guys reading this don’t want to read that: basically the rock gives Simmons the power to reverse the mist change ie take Inhumans’ powers away.

I really like the idea too, which you hinted at, of Jemma taking control of these powers but of her struggling to come to terms with how/when to use them.

Skye has not only defended Simmons’ attempts to help her, but also expressed a desire to remove her own powers (eg in the transition room, and in her bedroom when Lincoln tells her “the transition is permanent” she looks pretty horrified to me), meanwhile Fitz is fighting from the other side and he believes he’s defending what Skye wants and Skye wants part of that too. And now she’s torn between siblings yay   I’d like to see Fitz and Skye have a convo about that actually, but this isn’t about those two and its unlikely so moving on.

It’s entirely possible – in fact, it’s very likely – that Skye’s since changed her mind and wants to keep her powers, and I feel like they would have to have that talk if for no other reason than plot, if Simmons does get the kinds of powers you’re suggesting. What right does she have to take their powers away just because she can? When should she? If an Inhuman asks to have their powers taken, should they be allowed? Under what conditions? And what about the use of her powers in self defence? And how controlled are they? Can she ever safely touch Skye again?

Man I actually love this theory. I have a few others. Part of me’s still hanging out for Inhuman!Simmons/Inhuman-friendly Simmons but given how hostile the rock apparently is, that’s probably not gonna happen. This is probably the theory that combines my desires, and realistic hopes.

There’s also of course, possession of some sort. Which would hurt me deep in my soul, in the good way and the bad way. Ignoring the bad way, because I don’t want to waste my energy, soul and mood on that, there are ways they could do it, if they do it, that wouldn’t be too bad. I like your thing about getting her to relive her traumas etc/flashbacks. Maybe the rock does it, but maybe we just see it. Maybe they take us back, and show us a few flashes of how and why she got to this point, where she had the thoughts and/or emotions that made the rock deem her worthy of being chosen and twisted in this way.

Also, while again not ideal, they do have characters that would defend Simmons and try to understand and help her. Emotional trauma is not obvious, especially not in a person like Simmons who bends over backwards to keep it in. Were we not increasingly wanting her to have a public show of emotions or be officially recognised as mentally ill because of all this trauma, so that producers/viewers and other characters would have something to point at and go SHE IS SUFFERING? But if Simmons were somehow absent from the story, but noticeable in her absence – unlike before, when she was at least in theory hiding herself, she has now been taken and, if possessed, forced to do things beyond her will – other characters would speak out. They would have to.

I also feel/hope/dream that they will address the lack of agency thing which they failed to do with brainwashing. If they have to have someone – Fitz? – say, but Simmons would never do this, no really there is something wrong. Then so be it. And if they then bring up, “but would she though?” and someone’s/everyone’s answer is “idk actually” “she’s been going through some stuff lately” “well I wouldn’t have pegged her for going after Ward either though” and they can retrospectively analyse and sympathise with her I will take that. Especially if they hug the EVERLIVING CRAP out of her later. OH and add another sprinkle of dreaming here but I’m pretty sure I would cry if LITERALLY. ANYONE. Read her psych eval or saw her diary or footage of her having nightmares or whatever tf else and just went holy shit what have we done.

Any other bug, sure, whatever, but I believe spiders have intuition. They know when you've noticed them and are contemplating killing them, so they go super still and hope you ignore them. Favourite movie? The Lion King. It has a lot of personal meaning for me.

First fandom? The first one I discussed with other people online was Harry Potter, but my first obsession was Dr. Seuss as a toddler.

First OTP? Um . . . probably Padme and Anakin (idk their ship name). I was still in grade school. I just loved the idea of a secret marriage.
