If Jaune was related to the king of Vale, wouldn't he have silver eyes?
We don't know how the Silver Eyes work in regards to origin and how it's passed down. Yes, we saw that two kids of one of Oz's previous incarnations had Silver Eyes, but that doesn't guarantee every child of his has them, or that passing them down to their children and grandchildren is 100% guaranteed.
It actually can't be a 100% guaranteed thing: for Earth, you only need to go back 100 generations to find a common ancestor for everyone on the planet. That's 3,000 years.
There would be way more Silver Eyed Warriors if any Ozpin ancestry guaranteed to create one.
And we also know nothing of Jaune's family beyond Sapphron, so his father or grandfather being adopted can't be ruled out either.
On Nero's age: According to the novels, Nero is 23 by the 5th game, so he's 5 years older than Patty. Which means when the anime happens in your AU verse, Nero becomes a big brother!
omg that’s CUTE!!!!!!! :’))))) Thank you for the info!!
Cinder's Semblance is never actually explained *in-series*, and what you've seen of it now is about as clear as it's ever going to be, so: It's called "Scorching Caress," and it lets her superheat objects to manipulate their shape. She usually uses it to turn sand, dust, or other debris into glass, either to make or reshape her weapons or to just use as projectiles, but it's also how she did stuff like make the ground explode in the first episode, using heated bits of Fire Dust.
Okay but Scorching Caress is a RAD freaking name, just to put it out there
Making glass seems like it would be the quickest and easiest use of a Semblance like that, at least regarding weapons. Low melting point, easily pliable, and sharp edges makes for some fast weapon creation
We’ve got an old glass making factory near where I live, so I’m well aware of how this stuff works. I wonder if she’s got the right kind of sand
That’s probably too detailed even for this show though let’s be honest
"As above, so below" is a phrase/idea you see in philosophy (and also occult mysticism) that basically describes how anything that happens on one "level" of reality or the world or whatever also happens or has some form of effect on every other. In this case, it presumably means that what happens in Mantle was never going to NOT affect Atlas in some way, and vice versa. "As [shit goes bad] above, so [shit goes bad] below."
That makes a lot of sense considering what happened. Thank you!
@theleingod @sanctferum oh my god he is isn’t he he’s just guitar dad with a full head of steven hair
theleingod replied to your post “Just to highlight how privileged Blake is, even among Faunus: Her...”
Also, it's blatantly not true to say that Blake was never exposed to racism: she has, by her own admission, been participating in White Fang rallies and protests since she was a very small child. Back then we thought she was an orphan, now we know she was with her parents on those protests. But that doesn't change the fact that she has been on the front lines of agitating for faunus rights since she could hold up a sign.
Well then isn’t it a good thing I never said that she “was never exposed to racism” now, isn’t it?
Most people don't notice (making it a good example of asset re-use handled in a smart way, IMO), but Cinder's party dress is actually a palette-swap of Pyrrha's with some extra bits to personalize it, namely the gloves and that kind of broken-glass looking motif going down one side.
Oh my god you’re right!! That IS a really clever use of an asset they already had
And she’s ROCKING that dress, no lie. Cinder may be evil, but damn she looks good
