My father was diagnosed with dementia in February of 2019 - and last year was one of the most harrowing of my life (good practice for 2020!). I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through it without the Alzheimer’s Association. Their 24/7 helpline got me through crisis after crisis, and they also regularly checked in to make sure my dad and I were ok. They are still my #1 resource for problem solving and planning as we continue to navigate this disease. My effort to give back to them so they can continue helping anyone affected by dementia is this compilation featuring some amazing artists, out this Friday June 19, in time for the summer solstice - the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual fundraising day. The cover art and physical packaging features photographs by the extremely talented @ebruyildiz who documented her mother’s journey with Alzheimer’s. Swipe through to see who’s participated and the pre-order link is in the bio, also available on @bandcamp. Anyone who orders a physical item by July 7will have a chance to include a name of a loved one affected by dementia in the liner notes of the album.
