The Masked Singer Season 5 Episode 12 aka the last one of the season: THE FINALE BABY... we be done! (Commentary & Everyone’s Unmasked so Guessing No More)

Hello everyone! Welcome or welcome back to Ana’s Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, recap every single episode of The Masked Singer. This is the last one for a while until season 6 comes out (I might be doing other pop culture stuff on this blog... I feel like it is turning into just a Masked Singer blog lol but I promise this time between seasons I will 100% be doing more dynamic stuff... I mean AGT is coming on Tuesday so who knows? I don’t wanna make promises, but we’ll see what I get ideas wise) and the finale didn’t disappoint (well, it kinda did, but we’ll talk about it in a min). 3 people got unmasked and we are gonna go in reverse place wonder (as in 3rd then 2nd then 1st place) so yeah let’s get into it...

Alright so firstly, the mask who came in 3rd place is...

Who was revealed to be (as I and a lot of others suspected)

Wiz Khalifa

Commentary: Yeah, I mean this doesn’t surprise me one bit (both who he was and that he was 3rd), this so reminds me of season 3 when it ended. He sang Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio and it was good, nothing different to his other performances. He is a great rapper y’all, he’s Wiz freaking Khalifa (he said people might think he is too cool for this show, because he legit is too cool for this show), but yeah I just feel like the other 2 are better SINGERS and this is the Masked SINGER so like a rapper who doesn’t sing (because T-Pain is a rapper who could sing and he won season 1) winning really doesn’t make sense tbh. I knew this one tho, so we are at 12 out of the 13 revealed so far that I guessed correctly.

Now onto our runner-up who was...

Black Swan 🦢🖤

Who was revealed to be... my girl:

Miss Jojo!

Commentary: She sang How am I supposed to live without you by Micheal Bolton, and like OMG YESSSS GIRL SINGGGGG. Like wow this was one of her best performances since the Super 8 Kings of Leon song... like dude she should have won, this was a winning performance. Jojo did get snubbed in my humble opinion, but you know what it’s ok... she’s in very great company with the runner-ups from previous seasons, like Turtle (Jesse McCartney), Rottweiler (Chris Daughtry), Mushroom (Aloe Blacc), and Peacock (Donny Osmand)... that’s an amazing line-up right there, and then add Miss Jojo who is just a queen in her own right and that line-up is just chef’s kiss amazing. Btw her new song, Creature of Habit, is absolutely a bop, y’all should check it out, (as if she needs my freaking promo, but she’s giving us looks and vocals omg). Anyway, another one bites the dust, and bam I got it right again yay! That is 13 out of 14 reveals thus far... only 1 left.

Now, for our season 5 winner, which is...

Nick Lachey

Commentary: Wow, we have a winner ladies and gents. I didn’t honestly expect him to win, my money was honestly on Black Swan, I really wanted to her to win so bad... but I knew if he sang a ballad this finale, he would have a good shot of winning, and that is exactly what he did. He sang Faithfully by Journey and it was one of his strongest performances, so I really knew he had as good of a chance as Black Swan to win. I mean Nick Lachey did a great job, I am not mad by any means (like how I was w Night Angel winning in Season 3) but it wasn’t the result I hoped for. Anyways, congrats Pig! U did it bro!
