Gallacrafts ~ Theme 17 ~ Wearable Crafts

I loved making Mickey’s Season 1 Got Any Slim Jims at the Kash & Grab scarf for this month’s @gallacrafts! It’s been a really long time since I had a project, so super grateful for the inspiration and space here!

I’m really imagining Ian picking up knitting as a way to relax in moments of anxiety or after work, so he secretly sneaks away and takes lessons from Tami. And they bond over husband and sibling complaining.

Their anniversary is coming up and he wants to make Mickey a gift, so he decides to try a scarf… and chooses an upgrade to the scarf Mickey was wearing when Ian first really knew he was in love with him. A little message sewn in to remind them of what they’ve been through and that they made it ❤️😭

gallacrafts january 2023 🧵

i was so inspired by the fuck-u-up cross-stitch that @smokey-mickey put together for the zine that i bought an abundance of stitching supplies! so, for this month's @gallacrafts theme of wearable crafts, i decided to try an ambitious freehand embroidery moment!

it's a little wonky, but it was fun to make & overall, i'm pleased! 🥰🥰

ps. i looked back to my/the very first gallacrafts in august 2021 -- which was also my first official offering/hello to the fandom -- & it was on the full moon in aquarius. today's posting date is the new moon in aquarius. so, if you'd like to plant new seeds of community interaction, technology as a great connector & staying fluid to stay fresh, today is a great day to do so! i sure will be 🤘🏼

Gallacrafts Theme 17 - Wearable Crafts✨️

Happy @gallacrafts day!! I painted some iconic clothes/shoes our boys wore. My idea was to cut up the canvas & make bracelets from the strips buuut I ended up loving how it looks on canvas. 😭 So I just printed it out just to give the idea lmao tho my printer was shitty. I may have the courage to cut it up one day or paint it again haha maybe if anyone wants bracelets 😆

Damn it's been a minute since I've done a @gallacrafts! I missed it so much!! The theme was wearable crafts and that fell nicely in my wheelhouse. I was inspired by this piece by @mishervellous and he very graciously gave me permission to use it! Paola I hope I did your work justice bringing it to life! I give you a little tomato shirt for Mickey and Ian’s toddler:

Ok, this picture really doesn’t do the sizing of this justice, because it’s a tiny little toddler shirt and it’s so flipping cute!

Aaaaand I also made one for Mel's nephew too! Because @gardenerian​ is tomato royalty and so is their nephew obviously! Hope you like it my love!!
