Anyone know any good theme designers for tumblr that accept money via bank/paypal? I want it to be kind of unique and a custom theme. Private message me with links! <3 ILY 

I am new to this whole tumblr thing so hopefully one that can tell me if my request is unrealistic/not fitting with budget etc. <3 Ideally someone professional and communicates back!

I’ve been wanting to edit my main verses page for AGES now, and after completely losing access to Tumblr for a while there I finally went and did it! I could finally rewrite my starting Star Wars verse, since Eleventh Sister is an Imperial Inquisitor, and has been for a while now. Not a Sith Apprentice... 

I also rewrote my Kingdom Hearts verse to fit a new muse, and made some adjustments to my Persona verse. The muses and their stories have changed so much in my head over the year, that I could barely recognize what I originally put down... and that is what people would see when they checked my blog? Cringe!

It’s a real weight off my shoulders now that everything is up-to-date!

Hey, guys, I tried to change my tumblr theme but it keeps showing like this after I tried to save the HTML.

Any of you know how to fix this?

It’d be helpful if you guys reblog this so maybe one can help me T_T thanks

Do you have any advice for Tumblr writers about how to design/pick a theme that works out well? I'm not super well versed with Tumblr and I want to be able to have my page flow well, whether its mobile or desktop. 💕💕💕💕

HMM well definitely have a peruse through some of the many blogs out here with awesome themes! there are a lot of diff types, my current is @glenthemes (whose themes i absolutely ADORE btw), but I’m also a big fan of @baechys, @cactusthemes, @themehive, and others! I know @cinnaminsvga and @taepott also have amazing taste in themes so they’d be awesome to ask too!

But some of the things I look for when choosing a desktop theme in particular are the amount of custom links, the pictures (whether I can have an icon, or a large sidebar image), how customisable it is, how readable it is (a lot of minimalist-like themes aren’t gonna be great for fic blogs just bc the font is usually so small!! in my experience anyway)-- and pretty much just how it looks and whether it fits my personal aesthetic. I like blogs that look and feel clean!! I hate it when it feels cluttered or messy, and I feel like its easier to immerse and read when the blog is clear cut and easy to use and navigate :) also note!!!!! its better to have dark font on a light background than the other way around, as it can be harmful to your eyes if its light font on a dark backdrop. This is something I also learned along the way!

Oh and for mobile, i personally really like having a pretty background gif of something unrelated and then an icon of a bias (usually seokjin whoops). Idk why, i think i like the versatility, but also I have found in my experience that not only is it hard to find good gifs/ images with all or most or certain members that fits, it can also come off as and feel a bit cluttered in combination with the icon! sometimes it can feel like there’s too much going on. I think this is where mobile themes like calypso’s come in-- very neat, gorgeous, streamlined. I still love the way I do mine, but hers are another way of doing them that is equally as gorgeous!!!
