Clever use of “in the meantime, back in the ranch...” technique, weaving the storylines of 3 main protagonists cleverly. Yet... after reading the likes of Arthur Clarke, having the main philosophical themes of the book underlined through the exposition-dialogues between characters, instead of making the plots speak for themselves, felt contrived and inelegant. A kind of book that makes me feel more inclined to look for its faults, mainly because I feel like I have wasted my time on it, like the way one feels after playing computer games or binge-watching HBO series.
