Reno, Nevada's Adventure Inn (pictured in 2007 and 2024) closed in 2008 and was demolished in 2012. They offered themed rooms, suites and super-suites that included personal tubs, pools, fireplaces and plush heart-shaped or round beds. Pictured are two of the most popular: the bridal and honeymoon suites.

Obsessed with this house my friend found whilst looking at listings.

Starting strong with the hallway entrance complete with zebra print stairs, a feature wall with a shark(?) hanging on it and a suit of armor, presumably there to grant passage to guests daring to venture upstairs.

Another angle of the hallway. There is a to scale telephone call box next to the front door.

Welcome to the kitchen. Sticking to that sharp red theme. Don't miss the Kraken fruit bowl and the... wait.

Oh silly me, that's not a monkey. That's a chimpanzee.

The chimp can be witnessed from all rooms on the ground floor. As god intended.

You reach a point where this just starts to look normal.

Cheetah print feature room.

The bed sheets make me uncomfortable.

Marilyn Monroe themed guest bedroom.

A subtly themed ancient Egypt bathroom.

No bathroom is complete, of course, without a Toilet Iguana. And decorative disco skull.

I thought this was stuffed at first but I think it's a statue. Slightly less alarming.

There is an entire koi pond in the garden

Your HL sims have a Doctor who room?! Is that a whole Tardis?! Would you share some more pictures of the room please?

I thought I saw sonic screwdrivers on the table and I swear that the floor rug looks like the Doctor's scarf!

They have a whole Star Trek room too lol. But sure, I can share more pics of it for you. Any DW stuff in these pics I did **NOT** make. I downloaded various things from sites like The Sims Resource or sims cc creators on Patreon and such. And you have a good eye! The rug IS the Doctor's scarf and there are little sonic screwdrivers on the table. A friend of mine wanted me to make a DW-themed room, so I downloaded a bunch of stuff and put it together best I could.

I had my favorite boys watching the new DW special with some snackage. (the big tub of popcorn is behind the tissues) There are two different sonic screwdrivers on the table.

Garreth is going to help me showcase the rooms because he's the biggest DW fan...

Life-sized Tardis, a dalek statue, a little cyberman head, some posters, little Tim Burton-esque portraits of the Doctors. (I originally made these rooms before the 13th Doctor existed, so please don't think I purposely excluded her)

More posters and a mural made by one of my favorite artists, Alice X. Zhang.

More artwork that's just sitting there for now until I figure out how to rearrange it nicer.

That's the actual tv room with a bunch of artwork, and a tiny Tardis table light and the scarf rug.

And then I put in a little themed bathroom, just so they wouldn't have to run up three flights of stairs to pee. 🤣

And that's the tiny DW corner of the house. :)

Talliston Home & Gardens, part one

Here’s a Hacienda style Mansion in Boca Raton, Florida that doesn’t have a trace of Spanish style inside. 

Where does one get a giant spray can? It has an artsy Andy Warholesque entrance.

There are some subdued rooms, but they still have modern art on the walls.

The family room gets a little bolder.

The kitchen is normal, but has a cute “OY” sign on the island.

And, then there’s this spacey room. Since there’s already a family room, I would say that this is a music room or something.

Off the dining room is a bar with Star Trek things on shelves.

This pink room appears to be an office. Are those space rocks on the floor?

Yet another TV room with a bar- this bar also has tons of toys and models on display.

A mansion isn’t a mansion unless it has a really great game room.

A kids’ barracks style room.

The wine cellar is so packed, there isn’t enough room on the shelves.

This lucky child has a boat themed room.

His sister’s fairy tale room.

The parents have what looks like a Muppet in their more adult themed room.

The master bath.

The requisite walk-in closet.

Barbeque for at least 10 guests.

Tons of guest seating alongside the basketball court. Is that a tennis court by the giant LOVE sign?

Waterfall by the pool.

My middle sons room is Studio Ghibli themed. I love the soft, rich earth tones. I’m definitely going to add soot sprites in a corner. Some soft grey furniture to add ‘clouds’ to the otherwise largely green and blue room, lots of plants. Subtle nods in the planters, ‘Sprite food’, vintage Kiki adverts and vacation posters. Each room will have a bookcase, though I’m toying with floating shelves for this room.

People were interested in the last photoset I did of the themed Inn we were staying at. So here’s the first set we took November 2016! This time of the Browning Suite. This particular mansion themes all of its’ suites after different authors and their famous works. For this room, we chose the Browning, coined after the two celebrated poets, Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. This room is situated on the second floor.
