I saw someone say that it’s catered to women because he goes down on Ryder in the love scene… that made literally no sense to me. And animations for other parts of the romance can be tweaked for male Ryder. So personally, I see no reason he couldn’t be bi. His romance would be sweet and adorable no matter who it’s with.

That’s just... Like how does that logic make sense to someone? That because he goes down on Ryder his romance is catered to women? How does that make sense to someone? Like the arguments I’ve seen about his romance “catering to women” have been just plain homophobic and biphobic, whether or not that’s their intent, that’s how they’ve come off.

There’s no reason why he couldn’t be bi. And it’d be much easier/simpler than having to create new scenes and content for Gil’s romance (though that wouldn’t solve all the issues some people have with Gil’s romance).

I agree that Jaal’s romance would be sweet and adorable no matter which Ryder he’s with!

Being wrong and general cruelty. This really showed itself in Trespasser when

Solas says he will do the thing. She is just SO angry at him. She blames him for how she was raised - an outcast, even in her own clan, because of her magic; nomadic because of the fall of Arlathan; the Inquisitor because he gave to Orb to Corypheus.

All that would have pissed her off already, but what just infuriates her is that if it weren’t for the risk to everyone, she would agree with Solas. Her magic made her feel isolated, but she blames the people - not her magic - for that. If they all had magic too, she wouldn’t have had to be protected from the shemlins at almost all cost. She’s more pissed at herself that she wants to help Solas, even though she knows it’s wrong. But in order to protect everyone else, she has to do what she also thinks is wrong. 

Also, boring books.
