have you read phoenix #2 yet because dear lord jean had a line that made me cackle out loud.

i havent :( have not read any marvel in a bit tbh due to combo of not knowing much about my new lcs, not really pursuing hobbies that can't be done while i'm drawing, and my usual habit of being several years late to any party. however!! i have seen panels floating around and i do want to read this series. it feels like a version of jean that i've really wanted to see. i will update when i finally read it, whenever that may be o7

Yeah!! There's the joke of 'crone' being an insulting term but avoiding it is also avoiding that acknowledgement of age and mortality, but they're witches! They work with the dead and dying, they're keepers of all the borders and the ones who show people the way. And Granny does 'escape' death several times in her own way - escaping the mirror maze, borrowing the bees, turning the vampirism curse back on them, even beating Death at cards once when he lets her win - but when her time does come, she accepts it. Witches always know.

i was looking at rune's character sheet (cuz they're so fuckin cool and your art rocks) and i noticed you mentioned they've got "aether scarring" on their forearms.

i think that's such a cool detail!! have you explained what caused that before somewhere or… 👀

OH i've actually been working on a carrd for them with all their info! ...which is almost done...maybe.

their scars are from a childhood fight with their healer friend magnus, it's also how they damaged their eye (vision isn't too bad, but around higher levels of aether it goes spotty and gives them a migraine).

...oh i haven't posted about magnus either fflkjflfjf

the white wig lady getting fired after leaking set photos was the best thing to ever happen to Titans honestly. Star’s hairline when she’s on the phone with Dick in ‘Jason Todd’ is just disrespectful; there’s no other word for it. people blame the style of wig as if the new one in S2e1 didn’t look great

omg yes! ik exactly what scene you’re talking about!!! she did anna so dirty. it’s never about the wig, it’s about the applicator.

it’s all about the installation because there were certainly eps in s1 where she looked so (chef’s kiss). my faves were 1x3 and 1x5. that white wig lady was probably the worst because literally, every other stylist does such an amazing job with anna. and i feel like once they actually brought in a black hairstylist for s2, no one could touch her. but she looks great all of s2 anyway and it’s all because they got rid of her. and the fact that she was innocently leaking costumes was so funny adjfdfnsas.
