I love how Xana can go from making giant teddy bears, to causing a nuclear meltdown (IN EPISODE 2), to crippling a city's infrastructure, to hacking military space lasers and at some point over the course of those few weeks decides: "Hey what if I just chase them with a sword?"
XANA will literally just slither out of any random outlet and be like “is there anything in this room I could use to kill a bitch?” and sometimes it’s a bee and other times it’s a nuclear reactor

Honestly, I kinda dig them not taking over. Just being another way to hammer home "HEY YOU COULD BE SPIDER-MAN IN A LOT OF DIFFERENT WAYS. TOO BAD YOU'RE STILL SHIT" before the big turn around. Penni's design is a big let down.

but you are right, they took up so little time in the actual movie that my complaint is kinda silly. it was part of the theming.
