This is the first time I've ever participated in a Big Bang, let alone After Camlann! I had an absolute blast drawing these illustrations for @thenerdyindividual's fic The Challenge of the Fey Court, but it's not nearly the amount I wanted to draw! Nerdy's writing had me so inspired.

I highly recommend checking out Nerdy's fic, especially if you're weak for fae/fairies, arranged marriage, two sides of the same idiot completing challenges together, and merwainethur.

He swung Merlin around easily, and Merlin found laughter bursting from his lips without any conscious understanding. At the end of the dance, men who were paired up with women picked them up and swung them around by their waists. Merlin expected Arthur to stop there. Instead, Arthur’s hands caught around Merlin’s hips and lifted him with ease.No had lifted Merlin since his mother when he was small. He understood now, why the young women of ealdor got all aflutter about it. Something about the strain in Arthur’s arms and the delight in his eyes, combined with the utter exhilaration of his feet swinging through empty air made his heart beat rabbit quick in his chest.

Would Fía and Ylfa be Besties or Worsties?

they would be besties. the thing about emily characters is that they’ll mostly get along. fia would love to take on an older sister role for this wolf child and she has many friends who are werewolves so she could get ylfa some wolf support. and ylfa just wants to be supported. she’d love another older sister.

Merlin and Gwaine spend their days bopping around kingdoms, performing for the masses in exchange for petty coin. Sometimes they perform for room and board. When they perform at a tavern, the tavern owner gives Merlin a ring for payment, everything changes. Turns out the ring was haunted by the ghost of Queen Ygraine Pendragon. Now Ygraine is threatening to haunt Merlin for the rest of his life if he doesn't travel to Camelot to protect her son Arthur.

He goes to Camelot, and it turns out that Arthur is a huge pain in the ass. But he's also kind and does his best for his people, and that has Merlin and Gwaine falling for him.

If only Merlin didn't have to contend with a genocidal king and political plot involving the Kingdom of Magic.

I love how whenever you draw merthur art, Merlin always gives off the vibe of a semi-feral cat. It’s just... *chefs kiss*

Hi! I was just wondering if for Merlin Week 2022, there would be an AO3 collection for those of us who might write meta or fic for some of the prompts. I planned to cross post on AO3 and Tumblr, and it would be cool to see everyone’s meta writings and fic collected on AO3.

(Also feel free to contact me if you don’t have an AO3, but think the collection might be a good idea. I’m willing to set one up, but no pressure since I know you’re working with a friend on this and might not want some rando butting in.)

I’m not sure if you’re taking gif requests, so feel free to ignore this if you aren’t. But if you are, I would die to see a side by side of the scene in Coffin Run where Zac pretends to eat the letter and looks panicked that no one will stop him before he eats it, and the scene in fae and flowers where Brennan inhales the bird feather unprompted.

i hope this is the right zac scene- unforunately d20 doesn't have time stamps so this is the only moment i could find where zac pretends to eat a letter and i made an educated guess and went with this moment
