SANGUINE-ARENA; THE WRITEBLR INTRO
hello everyone! i finally decided to give a proper intro a whirl....
my name is theo; and i use he/she pronouns. i’m 25 years old. i love writing but i also play hockey and it’s kind of my life.
i’m based in the pacific time zone (PST).
i really enjoy creating characters and worldbuilding, as well as hearing about anyone else who does the same. always feel free to drop by my messages or my asks and ramble away!
i mostly write what could be considered sci-fi or futuristic, as most of my stories take place in a planet i created and set in the future. most of my stories take place around a group of hockey leagues i’ve created.
a few of my favourite tropes are fight scenes, character conflicts, characters in heavy emotional/physical distress, and personifying inanimate objects. if you ever need anything tagged, please feel free to DM me and let me know.
Which format would you like to see Slaughter Season in?
Traditional (one cast of characters, one single story)
Episodic (multiple casts of characters, each "chapter" is a standalone story)
Volumes (multiple casts, each "volume" has multiple installments)
Thinking of what sort of storytelling format I want to put Slaughter Season (focussed on "death league" / the CSHL ) in, I'm having some thoughts about it lately and want opinions.
I was originally going to do it as a more traditional narrative, like one continuous series focussing on just one cast of characters, but have had thoughts about doing more of an episodic or volume-based layout.
Episodic would be each chapter / installment has a different cast and is its own standalone story.
Volume based would be like Volume 1 would focus on one team and one cast of characters, and Volume 2 on a different team and cast of characters, etc. regardless of how many chapters it takes to tell it. All of these chapters would be part of the same narrative, but Volume 1 and Volume 2 wouldn't be connected to eachother.
guys!! my wip, "acidic", has reached 11k words! (current count: 11,083 words)
ridiculous amounts of character/world info sheets my beloved
my ocs on social media / the internet
i stole this post idea from @jezifster , thank you for letting me borrow it!
zayne; has an instagram he almost never posts on, and even then, when he posts, its only pictures from games / with his teammates with stupid captions. sometimes the team’s instagram page forces him to make appearances on there but he looks like he wants to die the whole time (to the point of it even being kind of a meme amongst their fans, probably). probably has a twitter thats not attached to his name where he doomscrolls and also vents 24/7
kendria; has an instagram shes pretty active on, posts on her story w her friends a lot. probably has pinterest where she has boards of all the pretty pictures she’s saved and also of dumb memes she’s found. i feel like she hoards pictures.
trevor; he doesnt know what social media is enough to really have it. he had twitter awhile ago but probably deleted it. there are likely dumb / mildly embarrassing tweets of his floating around but he doesnt acknowledge them. the team instagram probably forces him to make appearances too and he also looks like he wants to die the whole time (also a meme amongst their fans, but in a more “aw, hes so awkward, look at him” kind of way)
akuma; dude has a twitter where he shitposts, mostly. probably has snapchat where he does a lot of his shadier shit. dude 10000000% knows what tor is and probably uses it more than he would ever admit (also for shady shit). he doesn’t ever show his face or really even use his real name. he mostly lurks otherwise.
well....i decided to make a zayne playlist
writing is such a scam. i make up all these people and worlds and stories, and then i get attached to them? and then i make up more things about all these people and words and stories? and for what reason? to hurt my own feelings?
