Zuerst einmal, das ist mein erstes Edit, also seid bitte nett.

Die Stadt ist wohl mein Lieblingsgedicht. Ich habe es auch selbst eingelesen, um meine Vision richtig rüberbringen zu können, also entschuldigt allfälliges rauschen, mein Handy hat die Qualität eines Toasters.

Die Idee kam mir gestern in einer (mittellangweiligen) Vorlesung, als ich eine Nilgans vor unserem Fenster sah, und an das Gedicht denken musste. Ich finde es schade, wie die Kunstform der Gedichte aus unserer Gesellschaft schwindet, und dachte, warum nicht etwas neues ausprobieren, darum habe ich überlegt, welche meiner Blorbos sich dazu gut eignen würden, und so sind wir hier gelandet:

Shoutout to the Denis Jackson translation of Theodore storms final and most beloved work, The Dykemaster

The original title of Schimmelreiter (pale-horse rider) emphasizes the titular character's bond with animals & afterlife as a phantom rider, whereas Jackson prefers to emphasize the position to which he aspires in life.
