So in honor of BSD part one ending soon and people starting to talk once again about who's gonna join the mafia, I shall bring back my theory (and I've seen no one else say this so).

It's not Yosano. It's impossible for Mori to choose her, it was Fukuzawa's only condition.

It's not Dazai, cuz Mori can't control him. Plus, Mori doesn't wanna force him back into the mafia. He wants Dazai to return by himself.

It's not Atsushi either cuz he's the hero and we can't have him the Port Mafia. Plus, he's Dazai's puppet so the mafia would be dumb to have Atsushi report everything to the ADA. Tho I think there's a small chance of it being Atsushi since he's the "bookmark" to THE book.

It's not Tanizaki either. I know we all predicted it's him cuz he's the most "Port mafia" out of them (aka down for murder) but he's simply not important enough for that to happen. He's a part-timer in the ADA. Tho he does have some points for his ability.

It's not Kenji for obvious reasons. Bro is too sweet to hurt anyone for the mafia and his ability wouldn't really interest Mori cuz it's not that big of a deal. Also I really think after all this time Mori learned his lesson abt hiring kids.

It's not Ranpo either cuz just like with Dazai or Atsushi he'd 1000% just destroy the mafia from the inside. He's only loyal to Fukuzawa and he will die before he does anything for the mafia. Plus, he doesn't have an ability (yet. He will have one cuz he is a writer but that's another post) so why would Mori care for him? Yes he's a genius, but it's useless to him if Ranpo doesn't use it in their favor.

Kouyou won't allow it to be Kyouka. We all know this. Plus she rebelled against them. Mori has no interest in people who wouldn't be loyal.

Then, ofc there's Kunikida. Who i think Mori would want in the mafia AND he'd be fun to watch. But he simply wouldn't be able to work for the mafia. Like this man has a strict code of morals and he will die for them. Tho I do think he'd volunteer to go to the mafia so the others don't have to.

I'm not even gonna count Naomi (tho I do think she would be fun in the mafia, I don't think there's any chance it's gonna be her cuz she doesn't have an ability and she's also a part-timer) and Haruno.

And that brings us to the last ADA member that is gonna go to the Port Mafia and who i think Mori wanted when he made that deal.

Fukuzawa. Just THINK abt it ok.

With his ability all the new Mafia members would be able to control their ability to the fullest. And while the mafia wins this, the agency loses it. Cuz then both Kyouka and Atsushi would lose control over their abilities and surprise surprise it's another advantage for the mafia.

Next, Fukuzawa is a former assassin. And 99.99% of the mafia is assassins/hitmen (aku, gin, higuchi, etc etc) so yeah.

Then if Fukuzawa leaves the ADA we get to see them spiral trying to figure out what to do. Kunikida would become the next president and I really think that's something worth watching. We would get to see Ranpo trying to find a way to bring back Fukuzawa and going insane not knowing how to. And Dazai crashing out over this.

Then, of course, it's Mori's ego. If he gets Fukuzawa in the mafia then he basically win, right? And Fukuzawa would definitely go to the mafia so the others don't have to.

The only two things that make me not be 1000% sure of this is a) Natsume not allowing it but idgaf abt him and b) me giving Asagiri more credit than he's worth. If I were to be honest yeah it's probably Atsushi going to the Mafia. But I do think Fukuzawa would be a better choice.

The "King of the Sheep" theory.

Notes: I took the organization of children in quotation marks (I hope I did not miss it anywhere in the translation), and I mentioned animals without quotation marks. Frames in Russian, so I did not find it in the original or in English, but the essence of the text should be clear. My theory and it cannot be considered from a global and correct point of view. I was tormented by the question: “Why did such a strong group of underage teenagers call their union so ironically?”

The whole truth was revealed to me in the analysis of the animals themselves, after which I made an analytical connection and found this very “response” in “Sheep”.

As we can see, Chuuya begins to go against himself, saying clearly and clearly: “I'm not a king!“ — possibly meaning that he is the same “defenseless lamb”, simply different from the rest with his predominant “trump card in the sleeve”, which, as a specific privilege, crushes. He, of course, “is responsible for this very power“, but first of all - he is responsible for those who are weaker, who are simply with weapons without any abilities. The whole group can safely be considered by me as “youngsters”, whose “horns” were beaten off in the process of life, thereby taking away the hope for the safety of their lives. “Sheep“ pay tribute to their “leader“, relying on his mind and prudence, and entrusting their lives to the “hooves of justice“. They will boldly follow on the heels of the “leader”, but not because he is ahead of the “herd”, but because Chuuya certainly proved with his organization and responsibility that he can be trusted, and this trusting relationship is built thanks to strong friendship that binds their strong thread and unites only stronger.

Mentioning a little higher about the "hooves of justice", I wanted to make a reference to a small but very interesting disclosure of the activities dictated by the union of teenagers.

We are told that the organization “came into being to oppose looting and human trafficking.“ And then I remember one very interesting fact, which again is directly related to sheep. Theory time!

Could Noami actually be the 3rd Akutagawa sibling? So first of all, there's this official art

Why are Naomi and Gin together in this official art? Especially since they basically melt into each other?

Then there's this Akutagawa's og design:

And he has a mole in the exact same place as Naomi. (Ignore the poor quality I took the pic from Google)

But that's just an official art and a character design, both made by Harukawa, not Asagiri, so they could mean nothing. So here comes on the stage no other than irl Akutagawa!

And here I'll give you a smol part of one of his autobiographical works, "Death Register"

He had two sisters irl. One of which is represented in BSD through Gin. And the other one who doesn't appear. And according to my theory, is Naomi.

But why would Naomi, who we know is based on Tanizaki's book "Naomi" be Akutagawa's sister? That doesn't make any sense! Well, lemme once again bring on the stage irl Akutagawa, this time accompanied by irl Tanizaki

Irl Akutagawa and irl Tanizaki were beefing.

And that's all the connections I could find between them.

But do y'all know how Asagiri loves opposites? Well, in case you didn't know, irl Akutagawa was writing literature about the past, he was reading old Chinese books and things like that, while Tanizaki was writing about the modern world, he was promoting the future and the modernization of Japan, opposites.

So uh yeah, that's pretty much all I have, plus my delusions. Keep in mind I'm not 100% sure of anything here and English is not my first language so yeah. Lemme know if there's any mistake

I said it before and I will say it again. The one to be transferred to the Mafia is Fukuzawa. He's just the most fit for it.

It's not Dazai, because Mori is not stupid. Dazai rejoining the Mafia, especially through this agreement, would be the end of the Mafia. Besides, it would destroy his whole character and evolution.

It's not Yosano, Fukuzawa made it clear. That woman is not stepping foot in the Mafia's buildings.

It's not Kunikida, his ideals simply don't allow it. It would be stupid of Mori to choose him. Kunikida is not afraid to die, he would rather die than go against his ideals. And yes, I'm counting Kunikida as alive cuz I refuse to believe him or Kenji or Tanizaki or Teruko are dead. Asagiri is still a fucking coward.

It's not Atsushi either. He's supposed to be the good guy. The one that brings ppl to light not the one that moves to the dark. Besides, he's in the Mafia in Beast so I don't think he should be there in this universe too.

It's not Kyouka because a) she's useless for Mori now and b) Kouyou will personally kill Mori is he chooses Kyouka.

It's not Kenji, he just isn't. His ability is useless for Mori and his mind set is just not what Mori wants.

It's not Tanizaki cuz it's too obvious. He just said "then I'll go" and nobody protested or anything. This transfer is supposed to he something more (because of the lack of words) dramatic. Yes, his ability and down-for-murder attitude fit the Mafia, but it's just not him. It just feels wrong. I do agree he's second most likely to join tho. (Plus if he joins the Mafia literally every1 would mistake him for Tachi tbh)

It's not Ranpo cuz a) no ability, b) the second he steps foot in the hq the Mafia is doomed, c) he doesn't take orders, he's useless for the mafia and d) he's loyal to Fukuzawa until the day he dies and after. Any word he hears in there is going to Fukuzawa within 10 seconds.

I'm not even counting Naomi and Haruno in. Not even Naomi's bg that's coming now can make me change my mind on this. No matter how deep or dark their past is, they don't have abilities, the Mafia barely knows about their existence and Tanizaki would kill Mori if he chose Naomi.

And we're left with Fukuzawa. And honestly he makes most sense. Especially after this arc. Because he's not risking losing any of the ADA members after this. He's not risking it. Besides, he's a former assassin, his skill is wanted in the Mafia. His ability would be helpful for Mori, they could skip any possible ability trainings for new members. He's known Mori for a decade and he worked for him before as a bodyguard. (I lowkey think that Mori will use Fukuzawa as a bodyguard for a while just because he can, like beastzai did with Beastchuuya, but unlike Chuuya Fukuzawa won't give a shit. He saw it coming). And Natsume would definitely like Fukuzawa there to keep Mori "in check", to keep an eye on him. Plus, if Fukuzawa leaves the ADA, both Atsushi and Kyouka will lose control over their abilities and that would benefit the Mafia as the ADA would be even weaker.

And do y'all remember that episode/OVA when Aya first appears? Ranpo and Dazai said it, Kunikida is Fukuzawa's succesor. Why mention it if Fukuzawa keeps the position during the entire show? No, we will have Kunikida as ADA's president. And Chuuya was put there by Asagiri so the Mafia will know who the ADA's next leader is, so they'll know who they'll be fighting against.

In conclusion, Fukuzawa will be the one to be transferred to the Mafia after this arc ends. Argue with the wall

So y'all know how THE book creates alternate universes? And how Dazai said he's tried them all. And the only in Beast Odasaku can write his stories?

A) That doesn't mean it's the only universe where he's alive. It's just the only one where he's a writer

B) that's fake, it's not the only one where he's a writer because Oda Sakunosuke was a writer irl and according to my theory the real world is supposed to be an alternate universe in BSD

C) does that mean all the AU fanfictions are cannon?

D) Dazai clearly didn't have Tumblr and AO3 because otherwise he would have known there's more universes where Odasaku gets to publish his novels
