Matt had Liam make a perception check, and Liam said, “That’s why I brought the shield.”

So maybe the shield is why he gets advantage on perception checks?

Just had a thought come to me. In the PAX appearance Anti mentions he was replaced and that we “found someone new”

When was Chase created again? Could it be that Anti knew our attention drifted away from him so easily...?

Sad thought I just had about the theory/AU that the apprentice had the plague before the story starts:

Dillion wouldn’t want to look in a mirror again because he wouldn’t want to see the red in his eyes; knowing it’s there is just bearable enough, but seeing it is something else entirely. He has a hard enough time keeping it together as it is.

Attie, on the other hand, wouldn’t be able to stop looking. They’d try and make jokes out of it at first, “Look at me, I look like a fuckin’ demon. It’s creepy as shit,” but eventually they won’t be able to joke any more and just break down.

The way Li Baiwan seems to react whenever Gu Pingyuan came up already made me think that he at least knew how and why Gu Pingyuan was framed and by who, if not involved in it himself.

Now? I still think thats the case but their was an undercurrent of softness in how Li Baiwan spoke, which we don't really see when he speaks to Li Qin. And some guilt. So, I'm thinking, he may have been friends with Pingyuan's father and had something to do with his 'disappearance'. Framing him was a means of making sure the truth is not uncovered.

I was also thinking, they mention Gu Pingyuans disappeared father, and dont mention anything about how old Pingyuan was when he left for the exam, so if he was young enough to not remember faces, Li Baiwan could be the father himself? But that's a theory suitable for another subgenre, so I already dismissed it.
