why i am sad 2012 is over but so excited for 2013

guys, im not one to get over emotional at new years. its not my thing. but this year is different 2012 was one crazy mother fucker for me, and in all the best ways. 

as most of you have probably gathered by now in 2011 i ended a really abusive life altering relationship and i spent late 2011 dealing with that and as i talked about in this post i spent all of late 2011 dealing with a hard reset of my life to the tune of Amanda Palmer and by the beginning of 2012 i everything was just coming together.

2012 was the year i found myself.

then a few months later 2012 was the year i got accepted to SCAD as a summer student 

then a few months after that 2012 was the year i got accepted into AP photo after only taking one photo class at my school

the year i backed a historic kickstarter 

then it was the year i met the six most amazing women in my life (some of whom have tumblrs)

then it was the year i was fully accepted to my dream school 

then it was the year that school used my image on their offical papers

then the year i got a job in art proving i just need to keep heading towards the mountain (reference to this inspirational speech about futures by neil gaiman)

then the year i saw Amanda Fucking Palmer in concert and cried my eyes out and help her aloft when she croud surfed and her face was inches from mine

it was the year of the 13 hour skype call and the crazy last night at SCAD party in all 4 rooms 

and the year of so much more

2012 was the best year of my life and so as it passes i feel like i am losing a dear friend.

but 2012 was the year that set me up for success  

so now i cant wait to see where i will go in 2013.
