31 - The End
With one move, the world would change. For Inktober prompt 31: Risk
30 - Forward Observer
Little is useful in any fight than intelligence about one's enemy. Obtaining it is a treasured skill to any side. Some did what was necessary, others made it through by luck, or took shortcuts. A few were simply that good. For Inktober prompt 30: Slither
29 - Educated Guess
There were a great many pictograms alongside the wordy explanations of the Old Ones, not all of which were clear and some of which seemed to be jokes, especially the handdrawn ones, but overall one could feel confident to not entirely poke around in the dark. For Inktober prompt 29: Patch
28 - A Little Break
It never hurts to stop for a bite to eat. Unless the world is coming to and end - in which case it may not matter. For Inktober prompt 28: Crispy
27 - More Than Meets the Eye
Even the least powerful witches could still conduct unspeakable terror with their spells. Small voices in a crowd would sometimes argue that they could also do wonderful things with their magic, but they were quickly snuffed out as enemy propaganda. For Inktober prompt 27: Spark
26 - Achieve More Together
It had of course been the source of many jokes that the Stablings had no wings. Working together certainly had its benefits, and it was soon apparent what a well-rested Stabling in her full power could do that made wings seem somewhat less significant. For Inktober prompt 26: Connect
25 - Mount the Catapults
Flaps were useful for many tasks that would mean loss of life otherwise. Of course, the flaps didn't survive it either. What exactly the Skullings put in the barrels was beyond anyone, but that was all the better since that also meant the enemy would know no antidote to the yucky stuff. For Inktober prompt 25: Splat
24 - Escalation
It was unthinkable. They egg caves were sacred ground that nobody dared touch. And yet, the Stabling cave of Crimson Hope was filled with slimy shells from top to bottom. Someone would have to pay for this atrocity. For Inktober prompt 24: Extinct
