My wishful thinking is that it's going to be an extremely John album, like an off the charts love letter going back to their earliest years together. And I hope he drops some accompanying media like music videos and short films with never before seen materials etc 🕯️l know I'm tinhatting but that's what I'm hoping for!

Jane and Paul's relationship in 1968 ☕

Stagnant, I'd say? This isn't something I feel like I have a super strong take on, though I don't disbelieve their self-reporting in Davies, which is a year earlier. It sort of seems like neither of them were ever prepared to fully commit to the other and by '68 they both became fully aware of it. As far as I know, the idea that Jane caught Paul cheating which led to their breakup is pretty dubious (not saying he wasn't cheating, to be clear). Probably Paul was also becoming harder to deal with in the aftermath of Brian's death, given Jane was already frustrated by Paul's prioritizing of John, as per Davies, which might have sent her over the edge.

How many of these t-shirts did he have (there's a red one, iirc)? Where did he get them? This was before advertising tees became a thing, right? Why the anchor?

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't think they're holding hands. I think that Neil (Nell) Aspinall, and he's a couple of feet behind Paul.

JL Fic Rec: Turned by saintscully

Hey Steph, I hope you wouldn’t mind sharing this shameless self-rec! Today I finally completed Part I of my ‘Homeland’ inspired fic ’Turned’. Part I ends on a cliffhanger and Part II will pick up exactly where it ends. Technically the story isn’t over by a mile, but I feel like 20 chapters and 76K words in, it’s a great milestone to celebrate :)

Moriarty’s message never gets broadcasted. The airplane taking Sherlock away never returns.

As news begin to swirl about a British POW found alive in Gaza ten months later, Mycroft shows up at John’s surgery with some good news: Sherlock is alive, and he’s coming back.

(PS - The fic art seems confusing, but this is a Johnlock fic, or at least it will be Johnlock endgame by the end of part II).
