SHELBY. I just had a random thought of single dad dilf!Rhett at parent-teacher conferences. All the moms are throwing themselves at him...except for the quiet one sitting at the back of the room. Rhett can't help but notice her.
Single!mom x single dad dilf!Rhett, I mean the possibilities are ENDLESS!!!!!
OH I LOVEEEE THIS!!!!
rhett has honestly gotten used to the single moms throwing themselves at him since his divorce. he tries to always ignore, can’t deny he’s a little flattered. it was his turn to go to the meeting this month and he wasn’t there five seconds before two of the moms were approaching him. going on and on about how sweet his girls are.
he’s nodding along, thanking them and barely listening to a word they’re saying when he catches a glimpse of you. you were in the corner talking to your son, grinning at something he said. rhett was nearly knocked off his feet when you looked his way and smiled softly.
“who’s that?” he asked, interrupting one of the moms during her boring story about the annual bake sale.
“oh she’s new to town. her son just started this month,” nora said offhandedly, not a single ounce of care in her tone.
“if you’ll excuse me, ladies,” rhett said before making his way towards you. your son had ran off to play with his friends and you were all alone. he couldn’t help but notice the way you fidgeted in the small plastic seat, picking at a string on your dress.
“hi,” he said as he sat next to you. “i’m rhett,” extending out his hand for you to shake.
“y/n,” you said softly, the most sweetest voice he’d ever heard. your hand was small compared to his, smooth where his were rough. he couldn’t stop the way his heart fluttered at the touch.
you sat next to each other during the meeting, exchanging side glances the entire time. afterwards he had walked you to the car while you carried your son on your hip. he waited around until you buckled him into his seatbelt and you stood there and talked for a long time. he told you about his girls and the divorce and you talked about why you had moved to wabang.
“i’d really like to see you again, outside of school,” rhett said, kicking a rock that laid at his feet.
“i’d like that too,” you said, smiling up at him. you exchanged numbers and he bid you goodbye. the both of you were smiling from ear to ear, feeling like you were on cloud nine. it was definitely the start of something great and beautiful.
