Me and my other fellow Qrowin fans in the discord server (https://discord.gg/Tggw8dm) were just talking about how this is a scene between Qrow and Winter that's almost never acknowledged. Like??? Winter could've chosen or even literally payed to not sit next to Qrow or just sit next to Professor Port or Dr. Oobleck but no, she doesn't. She, by her own will, chose to sit next to her supposed "arch-nemesis". Like, Winter, baby, you ain't slick.
Im a beginner when it comes to commissioning for ppl and i was wondering on wehther or not can you guys help me with advice such as how to make invoices on paypal and the basics. Ive already got my prices and other info thought up I just need the extra help.

I can certainly try to help you with the invoice process. Doing invoices on PayPal can be a little intimidating, but it’s definitely best in the long run for yours and the client’s sake.
I will put the instructions under the cut so the post doesn’t get too long! I’ve also attached pictures!

(This is how I personally do invoices. The process may be different based on each artist and what they are offering. Anyone can respond to add any additional info/tips!)
Step 1:
First thing’s first. There should be a Seller Tools section on the front of your Paypal summary page. Click on “Manage Invoices”
Step 2:
Click on the “Create” or “ + Create Invoice” buttons (I usually click the latter.)
Step 3:
Here’s where it gets a little intimidating, but I assure it’s fairly easy! I’ve highlighted the sections where you should draw your attention to.
Due Date: In then “Due Date” section, I would make sure it’s checked off as “No due date” so your client can pay whenever they can. I BELIEVE that if you put a due date and they don’t pay in time, it could get them in trouble. (Don’t quote me on that though!)
Type: For the type, go ahead and make sure the option is set to “Goods: Digital Goods” This lets PayPal know that you’re not shipping any physical goods. (unless there’s is any actual physical shipment of the commission involved. In that case, I wouldn’t be sure on what to do since I’ve only sent digital commission invoices.)
Bill To: Pretty straight forward, just put your client’s email here
Step 4:
(A continuation of Step 3 just cuz I couldn’t fit it all in one screenshot)
Description and Amount: In the Description section, just put something simple like “Shaded Drawing” or “Lineart Commission”, then, of course, the amount of the commission in the Amount section
(These two few things are optional):
Allow Partial Payment: This allows the client to pay partially/in segments in case they aren’t able to pay the full amount at once. You can also set a minimum amount for them to pay
Allow customer to add a tip: Pretty simple, just allows the client to add a tip.
Preview: This part is totally up to you, but I’d preview how the invoice look to make sure everything is right. I’ll show you how the page will look in the next step.
Step 5:
The preview page for your invoice should look something like this
(this version excludes the tip/partial pay sections but when you do have those checked off they will show in the preview as well.

Once the payment for your invoice is paid off for the client, when you log onto your PayPal you will most likely see something that says “Needs attention” Under that, will be two options to click. You should click the option that says “Tracking numbers to add”
It should then take you to a page with the invoices that “Need attention”. Click on that invoice and there should be a couple drop-down menus. In the first drop-down menu, choose the “Order processed” option which should cancel out the other drop-down menu below. This lets PayPal know that the order was processed and no tracking number is needed.
For some reason, even when you choose the “Digital Goods” option in the invoices, it does that. Not sure why, but once that’s all out of the way then that’s pretty much it!

I gotta say, I've read a bunch of your fics and im not quite sure if like, you actually had an OC of gwenvid's kid or not or I was just too stupid to notice it. And if so, what are your thoughts on ppl making fanart of her/him/them?
Ah, well . . . none of my fics have Gwenvid having kids -- and kind a spoiler I guess, but none of them ever will unless I get hit with a really great plot-specific reason. If I had a Gwenvid baby I’d be thrilled if people drew them, and fanart of any kind is always lowkey begged for greatly appreciated!
I actually can’t think of a fic off the top of my head that does have a non-Max Gwenvid kid, but I know that @ghostska‘s Ivy is one of the better-known kids, even though she doesn’t have a fic attached to her yet.
I love how you're just prepared for all the incoming anon hate/ anon ame/dot shippers asks you were expected to get after the latest bomb, either that or youre just really civilized when it comes to dealing with this stuff. Reminds me why youre one of the best role models in my life~
