I just received my three November picks from @bookofthemonth and along with the books I also got this exclusive candle from @shopcandlefish. Is smells so good! It’s the perfect scent to burn on a cozy autumn night in November while I’m cuddled up in bed with a cup of tea and one of these books. Now I just need to decide which one I will read first. Book mail from @bookofthemonth ! I’ll be honest, because I am so bad at keeping up with my unread books AND have run out of shelf space, I don’t keep a subscription very long. What enticed me to go back is wanting an edition of The Rules of Magic to match with my copy of Practical Magic (which I got from the BOTM). HOWEVER, there are so many interesting books on their lists like my pick for this month, Thistlefoot by @_gennarose_ which I’m excited to get to… eventually 😅 I’m a sucker for retold, reinvented, and classic folk tales, fairy tales, legends, and the like. New #review #TheRulesofMagic by #AliceHoffman I am in love with these books and the movie (I wish they'd made the other books into movies too!). I can't wait for the fourth book to come out. I loved getting to know more about Franny and Jet and their 'lost' brother Vincent - the first and so far only wizard in the Owens lineage. The details in the book are fabulous as you delve into all of their romances and relationships. You really get to know them well, which helps you understand them better in #PracticalMagic. Hoffman's writing style is super evocative and she paints a beautiful picture of the people and their surroundings.
