The worst scar on his body is one that Remus can easily blame Sirius for ─ because it actually is his fault, as it happened in the night of The Incident.
The wolf saw Severus and it got excited because for the very first time, it would be able to tear apart a human being. We know that werewolves are after humans, so to the wolf, it would be the best thing ever. But James saves Severus, and the wolf is suddenly robbed of his opportunity to hurt a human being. This only causes its anger to get even stronger than it usually is, and the wolf turns against itself even more than it usually does.
The description of the scar and how it happened is under the read more; it’s directly taken from my post about his scars, and the body horror trigger applies!

I think she originally went out of her way to portray Dumbledore as powerful, then forgot all about it when it wasn’t relevant to a story that’s currently producing $$$$
and forgot all about why people view him as powerful in the first place. because why humanize characters when we can keep them atop their pedestals???

It was probably around fifteen when James had first heard of the order of the phoenix. Of course he’d heard whispers & rumors about a covert operation to take down Voldemort & his oppressive regime from his father or overly blunt ministry officials, but past blind faith & mysticism, he had no proof. No proof he & the the other ‘blood traitors’ would survive this round. No proof that they were fighting for the light at the end of the tunnel, rather than fighting to die in a way termed ‘valiant’ but inherently pointless. He had no proof there was even a formidable operation that he & his friends weren’t in this alone. He was in fifth year when he’d first heard his head boy, Frank Longbottom even mention anything substantial. ‘ i’ve joined the order. ‘ Frank said, all evidence of uncertainty wiped clean from his freckled face. James didn’t mean to eavesdrop but coming back, shielded by his invisibility cloak he couldn’t help but listen in to Alice & Frank’s conversation like he was an ADDICT. The order of the phoenix. James didn’t believe in fate, but he did believe in purpose. & his was to fight. ‘ i’ve joined the order. ‘ he said. ‘ and we’re gonna win the war. ‘ So seventh year came & went, & just before his last day in the holy grounds of Hogwarts, he & Sirius were approached by a ghastly figure with a tell-tale limp who asked the pair if they were willing to DIE for what they believed in. In that moment, without a flicker of hesitation James Potter had said yes. If he were any good with words he’d have said something about the honor it was to even be considered a trust able ally, & that beyond any of his earthly wishes he would be worth the risk. But he was a teenager, & looking back now he thought he’d said something about being apart of the ‘ wizard mafia’ that had made Alastor Moody doubt his proposition as soon as it had been spoken. Regardless, from there on out he had always known that the Order of the Phoenix was a part of him, just as he was apart of the Order. Even now, as he sat clutching his broken ribs & feeling as if every breath was a burden he no longer wanted to carry, he would fight till his last breath in the name of the Order. Both his immense relief & sorrowful disdain infused to see Sirius next to him. Everybody else in the raid was presumed to be dead, & James could only assume that they were still alive because they had something far worse than death coming for them. He could only assume that they had been spared to be broken. His only solace was that he was not alone. Ever since he was ELEVEN he had never truly been alone. James Potter & Sirius Black. Not even death could break a bond so tight. ‘ It’s been an honor, padfoot. ‘ James croaked, refusing to look his best friend in the misty gray eyes. He had never been staring down death like this before; & a thought he had never before considered had occurred. ---- he was afraid. Afraid but not going down without a fight. They were wandless, captive & beaten beyond any hope of blunt force fighting. All of their friends were either waiting for them on the other end, or unknowing of their whereabouts & this, realistically, looked like the end of the line. He’d had a good life. He held his hand out for Sirius’ blood stained one. ‘ until the very end, righ’ mate ? ‘

I am very certain that I have forgotten people but for now I’ll just keep these names. You are here either because your presence in the dash is of absolute sweethearts or because your writing is incredible, or because I love plotting with you, maybe I don’t do as often anymore because of whatever reason. Others I’ve even yet to write with, but just.... be sure that I admire you and you inspire me. Just know that all of you are wonderful. I love seeing all of you on my dash :’)
Misconception: Movies!Ginny. That's it. That's the misconception.

tbh i don’t think it’s all bonnie wright’s fault? i think it was a combination of rushed storytelling and poor direction. i also think that there are an unfortunate amount of people in the world who can’t imagine a plot that involves more than one lady character being fun and capable and engaging — hermione got the lion’s share of the Rah Rah Girl Power treatment, and it was only after it became clear that ginny was harry’s love interest that everyone scrambled to manufacture some sort of connection between harry & ginny ( and, by extension but only barely, a personality beyond “has a crush on harry” ).
all that said, it was also p. clear that bonnie wright wasn’t the right choice for ginny, and she seemed as unhappy abt it as the rest of us. and who can blame her? it can’t have been fun reciting lines without an ounce of spark or even just a sense of humor in them.
i’m never, ever going to make my peace with the shoe tying scene. never. i will go to my grave bitter.
How and when did Albus figure out he was homosexual?
Hmmmm, i don’t think there was every a precise moment where he was coherently like ‘oh wow i am a Homosexual.’ i think he realized kinda by default --- his friends / peers at school began to discuss ~courtship~ and girls and their attractiveness, and albus was just inwardly like: ?????? because, sure, he supposes that young lady is attractive but ???? eh. and then he gradually realized that he ... isn’t interested in girls in that way, at all. so he starts to research and look into such matters on his own to ... figure things out, because, by and large, everything he’s heard about men being attracted to other men was in a .... decidedly negative way, which for albus ( who very much wants to be a good person and doesn’t consider himself a bad one at this point of his life at all ) was extremely off-putting and distressing. so he researched a lot, mulled it all over, and eventually ... acted upon his hypothesis to test it out ( poor elphias akjfks;g ), and it turned out to be very correct. this was ... mostly likely between his 3rd-4th though 6th year.
but, yes, i see this as a very gradual discovery that took time for him to fully realize / accept due to the time period he grew up in.
