Hey everyone! I’m rather new to the Naruto fandom, and I’m looking for some input. [SORRY this is a text-heavy post!]

TL;DR: I need ideas for interesting things about Naruto and Naruto Shippuden to analyze!

I’m a first year graduate student, working towards a Master’s in media analysis. I have an extensive background in multiple different forms of media; however, I have two degrees in animation, so that’s the medium I want to focus on analyzing.

I’m currently formulating my thesis proposal, which is going to be a comparative analysis of epic literature to animated television. My professor recommended I write about anime, because it would be more interesting to read. I’m choosing to analyze Naruto because I know there will be a lot to talk about.

I’ve been tasked with analyzing a few different important or interesting things that happen in the show. Right now I’m only looking at Naruto and Shippuden, and not Boruto because I haven’t seen much of it!

So!! As, I said, I would like some input from other fans for what you all think would be interesting to write about. It can be about any character, storyline, and can be small, even recurring moments or big things that carry throughout the entire series.

I have a few ideas right now, such as Naruto being a literal ray of sunshine who talks his opponents down from murder, how rivalries carry through generations, and the importance of the number 3. My current task does not need to relate to ‘epic moments’ specifically - I’m looking for a variety of things to look into, either now or in the future.
