Also @thespeedofsounds when you see that post about 'humans are getting ever more beautiful yr face would launch 2000 ships' do you ever wonder (if it's true in the first place(which I'm included to think it's not (but IF IT WAS))) if we actually are getting prettier or if it's just the change in art styles and what body type is in fashion over time. AND like the changing conception of what you're representing when you draw a human, I feel like the reason people are so pale and paunchy and awkward in medieval manuscripts is because of their understanding of the relationship between humans and the world and god. They look all wormy because they are, in the big picture, worms. No illusions there, they aren't there to be pretty so just draw humans as they are. Y'know?
