NONVERBAL RP STARTERS 

Who needed the library when you had the internet.

REALLY.

Peter liked books as much as the next student wearing a back breaking backpack but checking anything out from the library was … a pain … and he had powers! Besides, he was never good with returning the books anyway! Instead, Peter had three books laying out before him on the table and he had his cracked phone in his hands, taking pictures of the pages.

The boy was so wrapped up in the fact that he figured out a way to have the books without having the books that he missed someone clearing their throat … three times. Peter dropped his phone when the person got louder and it clattered onto the book below it.

“Y-yeah?”

He looked up and saw Rosamund, she was one of his partners on a project for one of his classes. Peter offered her a small ‘I’m not doing anything wrong’ smile before picking up his phone. Really … why was he so awkward? He had known her for a few months now, she was nice … kinda.

Without saying a word she slid a folded piece of paper across the table then walked off.

OKAY … that was weird.

Brown eyes lowered to the paper and he opened it s l o w l y.

In his hands was a lined piece of notebook paper that read ‘NERD’ on one line.

              “Just because it’s Follow-your-dad-to-his-job Day doesn’t               mean I’m going to let you into the operation room.”

Just his luck to have to be summoned to a surgery, and even more so that Rosie’s father specialized in trauma injuries-----which meant lots of what he considered gory appearances to deal with. Movies with this much detail would have been rated R, and his daughter was barely an adult qualified to see them.

              “I would say go see Molly, as long as she doesn’t have to               be in the mortuary. Maybe you’ll get to see some brains.”

Blue eyes narrowed down at her huddled, quivering form, a clear flush spreading across her face as she begrudgingly drew the blanket over her shoulders. Fever-- he was sure of it, the terribly uncomfortable feeling of chills and fluctuating body temperature made evident in her actions as she fiddled with the blanket, throwing it off with a flourish before reluctantly reclaiming it to wrap around her shivering shoulders. 

“Don’t lie to me, you know it doesn’t work.” A brow cocked up, his lips in a firm line together as he approached her, the gentle hand of a violinist pressed to her forehead for a brief moment before he withdrew it. “You’ve got a fever. How are you feeling? Have you taken anything for it yet? I’ll put the kettle on, you need to stay hydrated.”
