A/N: So I saw TROS today and have mixed feelings about it but like Dark Rey oh my gosh, need I say more! Also this is my first time writing this type of relationship and I cut the smut short (please don’t be mad!) and the vision is in italics. Anyways, this is also a late Christmas present for my lovely friend @pandaqueen7799 Please don’t die too much! *gif not mine*
You had been friends with Rey as long as you both could remember. Both of your days spent out in the hot blistering deserts of Jakku wiping the sweat off each other’s brows as you’d scrounge for spare parts. You could both only hope that there would be enough for even a morsel of a meal. Then finally, like a blessing from heaven, a fighter pilot from the resistance swept you both from the sand dusted banks of the desolate wasteland and soared you both into the sky. Now years later, both of you were still fighting and Leia was still so sure victory was on the horizon.
You signed as you listened to the bickering of Poe and Finn rolling your eyes as you gunned down the ty fighters coming your way.
“Do you mind lifting up for a second, I’ve got four behind me coming at full speed.”
“On it,” Poe’s voice ran through your comm, sure and steady as he could be, though his heart was racing.
Chewie roared in agreement from above and you smirked. If only Rey were here to see this disaster, you briefly thought focusing your mind back to gunning down six more First Order ships.
Boom
Boom
Boom
“Nice shot!”
“Wahoo! All down, Poe. She got them all,” Finn said excitedly, but it was short lived.
“Guys, don’t get your hopes up just yet, we have an entire fleet heading our way,” you huffed resituating your position. Stars above how will we all make it through alive without her on board?
Poe spoke quickly. “We have to go lightspeed.”
“What the hell you mean jump light speed, that’s insane-woah!” Finn sounded panicked. “Why are we doing this! Rey is going to kill us.” The Falcon jostled.
“Well Rey isn’t here now, isn’t she?” Poe spat back. Chewie groaned in agreement with Finn. You could only imagine the look Poe was casting them both. He sounded so very stressed. Within a few moments you gunned down four more First Order fighters right as Poe warped four times, giving you a massive headache, and yet managing to obliterate the remaining fleet. With less than a smooth landing, you all clammored out of the ship, greeted by the cheers of the Resistance members.
“Some hell of a ride,” Finn came up from behind, clasping his hand on your shoulder grinning.
You smirked as Poe emerged from the cockpit sighing in relief.
“It really was,” you agreed, pulling out of Finn’s grasp,to greet the pilot. “But maybe work on a better landing sometime,” you snickered pulling Poe in for a hug.
“No thanks to you. You held them all off like it was just one warship.” Poe cast a smile, pride lighting his features as he pulled back, releasing you from the embrace.
“Well I did learn from the best.”
“Yes you did indeed,” Finn piped up. “Now allow me to take you to Rey.” Your stomach coiled in a melding of fear and anxiety. Those words, that person. Her face, her hair, the last Jedi. And what were you? Nothing but an abandoned child of a scrapper left good for dead. Rey was all that, but a Jedi. You couldn't compare.
“Right then,” Poe cleared his throat following you and Finn off the Falcon. “I need to talk to BB-8 anyways.”
You smiled as he walked away, greeted by the flurries of the little orange and white droid who bumped into his legs excitedly.
“Sure, that’s totally what he’s going to do. That or he’s planning on proposing.” You rolled your eyes as Finn lead the way into the brush, the trees sheltering you both from the crystal sky.
“P-propose?” he tensed letting the words sink in as you both trekked deeper into the heart of the forest. The birds were silent as if the whole place were meditating. You felt the calm wash over you in small waves, embracing you with comfort.
“I’m just joking, but I see the way he looks at you and you reciprocate.”
“I-I do not.”
“Keep telling yourself that, my friend cause one day-”
“Shhh,” Finn pressed a finger to his lips, “she’s here.”
Oh and what a sight it was. Sitting in the middle of the clearing, her crystal blue eyes closed, her face contorted into intense concentration. You wondered if she was biting her lip or imagining something else. Like her force dyad with Kylo. You cringed a quiet hiss of frustration leaving your lips. Finn’s comm fizzled to life and he turned to you whispering, “they need me back at base. I’ll let you take it from here. I’m surprised she hasn’t-”
“Just go, Finn I’ll- we’ll be alright.”
As soon as the crunching of his boots ceased you let out a sigh of relief. Finally you could greet your dearest friend.
“I thought he’d never leave,” her weary voice startled you. Was there another disturbance? What the hell is it this time? You couldn’t bear to leave her with these burdens alone.
“You know how he is. He’s a momma bear. Always ready to fight for those he loves.”
She turned towards you, her legs still crossed a faint smile graced her lips as she gazed upon you.
“I know how he is, but he never ceases to surprise us all.”
You closed your eyes, inhaling the pine of the woods, grateful for the calm that surrounded you in a cocoon. So it was her you felt, her energy embracing you right as you stepped foot into the forest, feeling for even the briefest of moments no stress or anxiety. You felt her, her soul, her essence and she guided her towards you...her home.
“You surely can’t mean that,” you choked, on the verge of whispering. “Not me, say it isn’t true.”
Rey unfolded her legs, bringing herself to the ground planting her feet.“Oh you can’t deny what we feel this-this force between us.” She took a step forward, cornering you right into a tree. Sparks of heat tingled inside you right to your very core, Your legs trembled, and suddenly you were very grateful for the tree.
“You have to trust me. There is a bond between us. I feel it. I know you do too so stop-” she pleaded, her eyes filled with remorse.
“Kylo shares that with you, not me!”
“More or less, but that doesn't mean,” Rey was now pressed up against you her heart thumping wildly, “that ours isn’t any less capable and possibly more powerful.” She cupped your cheek with her hand and everything went dark.
In an instant you felt pain, anxiety quelled from within you. You wanted to scream yet nothing came out, then a flash of red slashed across you vision. It was like watching yourself making the worst decision of your life.
Somebody help me! Don’t leave me!
Mother!
Don’t worry we’ll come for you.
Stay strong my love.
The force lives within you.
******
You gasp, finding yourself in a snowy forest, trees covered with sheets of ice. Not a tree rustles, silent sentries that awaiting something, or someone. A hiss sounds, the pulse of a lightsaber close to your ear. It’s heat radiates off of you, far from the calm soothing nature you were cocooned in what felt like eons ago.
“Join me and we can rule this galaxy together. Then you’ll know where true power lies!” a maniacal voice ring out and a figure cloaked in black approaches, double red saber swirling, sparks flying as the trees trembled with each step the figure took.
“I know you want to join me. Take my hand and it will be as it always was.”
This unmistakable voice. Surely it can’t be, you thought before you fall to your knees before her. “Rey?” You tremble reaching for her extended hand, her lightsaber resting dangerously close to you ear as you rose standing before her. “You have already chosen, don’t deny any of it. We shall rule upon the Throne of the Sith, take our place as Empresses of the new Empire,” she smiles. And I shall make you mine forever.
“What ever do-do you mean?” You gulp, trying desperately not to think of the beauty before you. Her tall lean figure, shrouded in black, saber burning with the heat you felt growing within yourself.
She snaps her fingers and you’re in what seems to be a throne room. Dark cracks line the walls of the cavern the circular seats surrounding it making it look like that of a coliseum. Statues stand guard their stone faces grave and shrouded in the traditional Sith robes. Rey saunters towards the dark column rising from the middle of the room, it’s darkened spokes forming into what appeared a crown. As she walks up the steps, you can hear her confidence building and only when she finally falls onto the throne do you realize you had been staring at her arse the entire time.
“Like something you see, my dark one?”
All you can offer is a nod.
“Then by all means, come up here at once. I don’t like to be kept waiting.”
Your own confidence seems to surge as you sauntered up the steps. Rey’s eyes narrow and you can see her foot begin to fidget a little. You bite your lip in order to hide the smile you so want to show her.
“Mistress of Sith, to what do I owe thy summons?” You had made your way to her, bowing deeply.
“You. Come,” she gestures with her index finger and you can hear the pulse of the saber fade. You’re both cloaked in darkness, but you swear you can see flames glowing from each other’s eyes.
In a flash, you rush up to the throne, pressing her beneath you as you pepper her body with kisses, latching on to her neck, sucking gently. She groans, reaching a hand up to finger your breast, its nipple hardening under her touch. Your bodies shuddered as you ripped off the shirts and you discarded her Sith robe with as much heated reverence as possible. She devours your lips, running her tongue across begging for entrance. You grant it to her, battling for dominance and you prevail for a moment until she tugs down your pants, inserting two fingers into you wet folds. You let out a groan of pleasure your hips practically aching for more friction. She grants it to you as you ride them, grazing your hands down her back, until your release.
“Rey,” you whine. She bites her lip, thrusting them into you once again your hands trailing down her exposed torso down to her hips. Frantically you remove her belt, and she holds in a breath as you slide them down, her fingers still inside of you.
“You’re going to be the death of me, Rey.”
“Oh my Empress, there’s no such time for chatter,” she smirks using the force to tear up her pants. “Now you see? Don’t make it too difficult for your-” she screams as you inserted three fingers into her, pumping in and out relentlessly, her juices coating your fingers with their delicious warmth. You brought them to your mouth sighing. “Mmm you’re so delectable. Maybe it’s time we-”
******
You jolted forward panting heavily. What the hell was that? The forest was as green as you had remembered, but now it was devoid of life and the person you needed to see. It didn’t take long for you to find her beneath a fallen tree, but you couldn’t be certain if she was breathing or not.
“Rey. Rey?” Stars above you were trembling, shaking even as you brought your leg beneath her stumbling while trying to support her. “Stars above, Rey stay with me please. I can’t lose you too. I just can’t. I-
“Did that actually happen?” Rey’s aura surrounded you once again calming your nerves. You smiled down at her, moving a wisp of her hair.
Your face heated. “Us or...”
“Both, but I’d rather do the other half,” she chuckled playfully, but her voice turned solemn. “I would do that with you, you know. I have always desired you.”
“But Finn.”
She waved a hand in the air. “Nevermind about him. He’s like a brother to me. You are so much more. This sounds kind of sappy, doesn’t it?”
“Nah sappy is good once in a while.”
You sit there in silence, cradling her head in your hands. Never in your wildest dreams would you have thought you’d ever feel so at ease.
Rey reached up a hand placing it on your cheek. “You know we could try some other time when our lives aren’t at stake.”
“Promise me you’ll try to at least stay safe,” you whispered, bringing your lips closer to hers.
“We have the bond. Nothing in the galaxy will part us, remember.”
“Stars above, I love you,” you mumbled, crashing your lips together. It was one full of hope, desire, right and wrong, darkness and light. Her energy and yours lighting up the galaxy. You were breathless, chests heaving as you broke apart.
“Don’t tell me that now. We have to say it in front of the boys first,” both her hands cupped your face now. She radiated joy. She was happy, nothing could ever compare to this moment she shared with you.
“Too bad, I only wanted you as my audience,” you smiled as she brought her lips to yours. One full of promises and unspoken truths.

A/N: Alright first things first I finally got around to this lovely request. Thank you for being so patient with me! I hope I did it justice and I wasn’t planning on writing this much, but whoops the muse was kind to me today! Also, I’m so glad you enjoyed Oblivious!
Eighteen months. Eighteen long, arduous months to plan for a day of frivolity, and quite clearly, Sherlock wouldn’t have any of it.
“Why do we have to invite all of these people? It’s not like we’re going to blow up Parliament anytime soon,” he lifted his hands in exasperation, falling into the comfort of his beloved chair.
I shot him a glare, looking up from the piles of paper circulating on the kitchen table. “You forgot to add flowers to the catering list.”
Sherlock groaned, ruffling his fingers through his hair. “There’s no point in all of this.”
“How about we call it off then?”
“Too late for that. John wasted all his money on a tuxedo.”
I huffed in frustration, resisting the urge to slap him upside the face. “With any luck, this whole ordeal will be a disaster.”
He stood up from his chair, pacing slowly like a predator until he stood behind me. “Don’t you understand? We’re already the perfect disaster.”
“Lucky for me, we have an eternity to reek more havoc,” I smirked pulling him in for a kiss.
“You keep me straight, Mrs. Holmes.” he sighed, wrapping his arms around me, our lips lingering from the last kiss.
“Ah, dear not yet. Save it for another time,” I winked, the blush on my cheeks noticeable as he brushed a strand of my hair away.
“Believe me, I will be in a few more hours. You probably should head downstairs. Mrs. Hudson is stress vacuuming.”
“Fine. I’ll see you in a few more hours, then? And please, don’t get into any more trouble. I have already notified Lestrade to keep you on house arrest.”
He shot me a suggestive look, brow raised as he released his hold around me. I pecked him on the cheek, chuckling.
“Oh no, your charms will not work on me today, Mister Holmes. Keep your world or this engagement will be no more.” I strode to the door as he followed promptly, my coat draped across his arm.
Reaching for my coat, he offered it to me, a ghost of a smile on his face as I looped my arms through the holes of the jacket. I embraced its warmth, biting my lip as I prepared to brave the cold.
“I would be wary of making threats you don’t promise to fulfill. Why else would you marry such a bastard such as me?” He inquired leaning against the wall, those glorious eyes boring into mine.
“Because,” I turned the doorknob looking back into his beautiful sapphires,” I love you, old fool. Now. I must go oversee last-minute preparations.” With that, I turned on my heels, into the frosty streets embracing what freedom I had left.
*1 hour later*
“...and you’re certain no more than thirty people have arrived?” I twirled my ring in anticipation, desperately hoping for one day there would be some peace. There’s no way this is going to end up like John and Mary’s wedding. “Be certain Mycroft is on full security alert as well. Lord knows we don’t need the world knowing about this blasted ceremony.”
Mrs. Hudson chuckled in agreement before taking a sip of her tea. Mary had invited Molly along to join us in our festivities. Apparently, according to Mary, you had to spend time with your closest friends before being married. I didn’t mind, the company was much needed, especially after enduring many nights out on the streets investigating. John most likely had told Mary I was in dire need of woman company.
“I heard you haven’t been home for very long these last couple of nights did something happen between you and your fiance?” Molly inquired, her eyes darting around in anticipation. Maybe she hopes I’ll say yes and then she can have a claim to Sherlock. Will she ever realize he doesn’t love her in that way?
“No, we’ve just had a series of mysterious cases all supposedly killed by the same two people,” I stated matter of factly, seizing the chance to nibble on a biscuit.
“Oh a tag-team I love one of those,” Mrs. Hudson added receiving a chuckle from Mary.
“Exactly the reason I’m marrying our esteemed detective.”
There was an audible gasp from Molly. “How could you?” she took a slow sip of tea to calm her nerves. Mary and Mrs. Hudson failed miserably at hiding their laughter.
Mary looped her arm around Mrs. Hudson, a mischevious grin crawling on her face. “Oh it’s just a bit of teasing, don’t take the future Mrs. Holmes so seriously.” she looked up at the clock over the stone mantlepiece. “Goodness gracious, we have got to get you ready, love!”
“Oh joy, let the primping begin!”
*2 hours later*
The gates of the grand library opened, ushering me into a small alcove where I would take my last steps of bachelorettehood and my first towards a married life. My breath quickened, heart rate spiking as I wriggled my feet inside of the short heels I had chosen. There was no way I was going to risk tripping down that aisle.
“You look most lovely. I honestly could never imagine you marrying him,” Lestrade emerged from a shadowy corridor followed by my bridesmaids and Rosie.
“You want to know a secret?” I whispered as he stood next to me, offering out his arm. “I didn’t think anything would come of it.”
Greg chuckled, a smile forming at the corners of his mouth.
“Why all of a sudden so happy. You didn’t place a bet, did you?”
He shook his head in disbelief. “You’re getting married, plus you’re my goddaughter. How could I say no?”
I rolled my eyes at him one last time before the music sounded, Mrs. Hudson leading the procession, Mary and Molly following suite. It was harder for me to breath, Rosie turned her chocolaty eyes swarming with warmth and happieness. I offered her a small smile despite the churning of my stomach.
“Greg, what if I’m not making the right decision?”
“Oh my duckling, you’ll know right when you look into his eyes. I’ve known him long enough. You two will reek so much havoc in London together.”
With one last squeeze of encouragement, the music resounded and I wondered if I really could be in heaven as I turned the corner. White and purple streamers graced the great oaken beamss of the library, accented by old leather bound copies of endless books. I felt as if I were almost in a dream. None of it seemed real until I saw him.
Sherlock’s tall form was graced with a simple tuxedo, red rose emblazoned over the left side of his chest. If he felt any emotion, he didn’t let it show, but his eyes, oh his eyes conveyed so much more than he could ever say.
“--I give this woman to be his bride,” Lestrade’s voice slilenced my thoughts.
John motioned for eeryone to sit, Mary shooting me a subtle thumbs up. Molly offered a small smile, though I knew she wish it were her, not me marrying the detective.
“We are gathered here today to celebrate a union of two people. Two extraordinarily different people I was sure Sherlock had gone into shock when he told me the news. Now, before I get carried away the couple would like to say their own vows.” John gestured toward both of us. Sherlock cleared his throat, his eyes glimmering as placed his hands in mine.
“When I first met you I perceived you to be just another intolerable person. Despite all the problems and cases we faced, I wouldn’t change any of it because you made each day worth it. I thought solving crimes was good enough, but you, you saved me. So now I pledge this mechanism of a heart to you, all it is and will forever be yours.”
Tears dropped silently from my face and one look into my eyes was all he needed to know before slipping the diamond-encrusted ring onto my finger. “Till death until I part from thee.”
Looking at John, he gave me a nod of encouragement. “Sherlock I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when Lestrade assigned me to tag along on your cases. I wasn’t expecting such a whirlwind of adventure and this unexpected romance,” I chuckled a slow blush forming on my face.
Sherlock squeezed my hands gently reciting something I vaguely remembered.
“With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never be empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way into darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine,” he bite his lip, looking in that moment like a mischievous schoolboy.
As if in a dream, he leaned down, removing his hands from mine to cup my cheeks, our eyes meeting in a passionate blaze. In an instant, something flashed, all the lights in the building flickered, illuminating a darkened sihouette proceeding down the aisle.
“Well, well what have we here? The great Sherlock Holmes signing away his soul.” a maniacle laugh followed in its wake. No one moved from their seats.
Sherlock looked away eyes dancing with confusion, his brow furrowing as he turned towards John.
“Who did you-”
Slamming the Bible shut, eyes wide in bewilderment, John yelled. “Just Bloody kiss, you fools!”
“You heard him Sherlock, just kiss me and we’ll be over with this ‘friviloty’ as you so kindly put it!”
Whatever force held Sherlock would not compell him to seal our vows, but right then and there a chuckle warmed the room and I pinpointed it to none other than the cluster of not so familiar faces down across the aisle. I held back a breath as a whisper caressed my ear “Miss me?” sending needles down my spine. “Sherlock we have to do something.”
“Wow, brainy really is the new sexy,” a tall brunette now stood behind Sherlock, messing with the lapels of his jacket. My face contorted in anger, but oh they weren’t finished yet.
A delirius laugh swept throughout the room "You know, why do I always miss these family gatherings.”
“Lestrade where the bloody hell is Mycroft?” I yelled. “All I asked for, all I asked for was no bloody interuptions!” Mycroft appeared starstruck from his perch above the organ as he peeled off his luxurius white gloves.
“Oh for Christ’s sake, she’s here?” John groaned as Eurus approached him, stroking his hair as he shuffered in disgust. “You know what just bloody kiss already. Kiss your bride, Sherlock!”
Sherlock sighed, unwavered by the onslaught of people surrounding us. “I don’t see why all the fuss is neces-”
“Fucking kiss your wife Sherlock, just like we practiced!”
Eurus turned her attention from John to me whispering. “Are you sure you know him, may not be the best option for you. Brother dear would never marry,” she leaned in pulling away in disgust as she caught a whiff of me, “a moron like you. Someone much smarter will have to do.”
I was beyond peeved at the moment I shot him a pointed look. “Why does your entire family have to ruin the wedding?
Sherlock sighed. “These aren't my family. They’re our enemies."
"Ah how could I forget?” the tall burnette I recalled as Irene apraoched me her lips curled with hunger, piercing red lips adorning her porcelain face. I wondered but for a fleeting moment how she could look so perfect.
“Stay away from her,”Sherlock’ voice held a warning tone as he struggled to free himself of Irene’s clutches.
"Again, I thought there was supposed to be top security clearance from Mycroft", I whirled around facing Sherlock, cocking the point of my gun in Moriarty’s direction. “Now look where we are, a menagerie of chaos.” All of the guests had fled but for Mary, Molly, Lestrade, and Rosie.
“Maybe I shouldn't have told Eurus about the wedding after all.” Sherlock stated, brushing off enormous globs of bright red lipstick from his cheek. His face contorted in disgust. “I tried to stop her, love.”
"This was your genius idea? Yeah let’s go tell your sister about our wedding and she freaking brings the gang of your-now my- sworn enemies into the middle of our wedding! Bloody hell. You have really lost it this time."
He actually had the audacity to laugh. "You really shouldn’t get this feisty right now. It’s doing unfathomable things to me, dearest darling"
It took all of my will power not to punch him in the jugular. “Shut the hell up, go find John and hope he survives this mess you've orchestrated. Save your tongue for later, it’s of no use to me this moment.”
“Now look who’s being a drama queen,” he remarked, loving my ensemble of rage and fury. Glad he thinks this is funny why the hell did he tell Eurus about this.
“I am not, please get your ass out of here before I mistake your brain for Moriarty’s and blow it clean off your shoulders. Bet you would enjoy that honeymoon, eh?”
Moriarty sauntered up the aisle facing me, rolling his eyes at the gun. “Aww how sweet, its adorable that you would even dream of decapitating me. I have one request, i would like to be at the reception and have a bite of cake. I heard there was going to be an utterly divine cake.”
Irene and Eurus promptly made their way up as well, taking their prespective places behind Jim.
Eurus smiled shyly, the flashes of hysteria gone. “I brought you a wedding gift, isn’t that the proper thing to do?” She held up a small box of silver paper tied with an extravagent teal ribbon. I offered a small smile genuinly touched by her gesture
Irene rolled her eyes in disgust. “I thought we were going to whip them into oblivion,” gracefully as ever, she let her lips form into an easy snarl. I rolled my eyes, not intimidated, but fairly amused at the situation. My heart began to feel for the criminal trio.
“As long as you behave and not make any more of a mess around here, maybe I will let you all free with some cake. And I really don’t appreciate this supposedly joyous day of my life ruined by three of my husband’s greatest enemies; however, today I will let it slide. Forgive me for going mad.”
Moriarty’s eyes glimmered. “Oh don’t worry, we’re all mad here. Speaking of, have you even made your vows official?
Confusion settled over my features making him smile, “Oh I forgot. Ha figures you haven’t sealed them with a kiss yet. “
“Guess we will be remaining present for that,” Eurus said, more of a statement than a question really.
“I can’t escape you all, can’t I?” I feigned exasperation.
Sherlock grumbled making his way up the aisle one again, dragging John on the floor.
“We can’t escape them, my love, he sighed, pulling me in for a kiss.
Moriarty cheered, Eurus, patted Sherlock gingerly on the back and Mycroft walked stiffly up the aisle towards his siblings.
“It’s utterly pointless to escape, you’re part of our family too, Moriarty winked, tossing me an apple. “Welcome to the Criminal network, sis.”

I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to save me
This all or nothing really got a way of driving me crazy
I desperately hoped he wouldn’t find me in this place. Towers and spirals of bound paper surrounded me, enveloping me in the folds of their arms, reaching out to me in comfort. They were always there to dry my tears, to comfort me in the darkened times. Today felt different. I had to be away from him. The man who made my heart ache, who made me hope so foolishly, leading to my downfall. I should’ve known he would’ve left. Most of all leaving my companion Jane distraught without her beloved suitor.
Now to be led down this path of foolery! I groaned with each thought that pulsed through my head. Fire coursed through my veins, burning so deep and bright I feared it might ignite my country estate in flames. Jane had to find Mr. Bingley again. I knew she loved him, no matter how much she tried to deny it.
And yet, you deny your growing affection for him. I see the way he looks at you, the way you look at him. Cousin Charlotte’s voice rang deftly in my ears, a faint memory of the night before. Before everything changed.
I need somebody to heal
Somebody to know
Somebody to have
Somebody to hold
“From the first moment I met you, your arrogance and conceit, your selfish disdain and disparage for the feelings of others made me realize that you were the last man in the world I could ever be prevailed upon to marry!” I seethed, undaunted by his advances. “How dare you sputter your untamed affections on me! You never cared but for your own pride!”
With two strides, he stood before me, his chest pressed against mine. I stood rigid, back pressed against the marble column of the forum. Rain had begun to fall around us, unaffected by our plight.
“My pride and disdain? Had your pride not been hurt, you would've accepted my advances, and put your prejudices aside!”
I stifled a chuckle. “So now you think I’m prejudiced to you and your birthright. I made a vow and will forever keep it. I will never marry you.”
He leaned in further, I could feel the brush of his lips against mine. “Thank you for explaining so fully. Forgive me, madam, for taking up so much of your time.” With that, he took off his brisk strides unheard in the now pouring rain.
It's easy to say
But it's never the same
I guess I kinda liked the way you numbed all the pain
“Are you alright, Miss?”
I gasped, slamming the book I was currently engrossed in. I feared it was a voice - his voice. My hands trembled as I reached for the tea my maid, Anna, had placed on the table. I hadn’t noticed her arrival. She seemed unusually quiet these past few weeks. Surely she didn’t know… I shuddered, removing the thought just as swiftly as it had come.
“I’m alright, Anna. Thank you,” I nodded, beckoning her to leave; she fidgeted a moment before saying, “I know it’s not my place to say Miss, but you seem sad. Are you feeling unwell? I can turn down the bed for you.”
“A walk should do me just fine. Now leave me be. I’ll call for dinner in an hour or so.”
“Yes, madame.” With that, she scurried away, leaving me with conflicting thoughts. I needed to numb the aching in my chest. But with what?
I took a deep breath, setting my saucer down on the table, noticing a slip of paper stuck between the folds of fabric on my dress. How odd, Anna must’ve forgotten to remove a letter I placed. I opened the crisp, worn folds, inhaling its scent. I froze, almost unable to move. It was him - his writing: Our hearts bleed, there’s no easy way. You can deny all this pain. Alas throw it away, bury doubt deep within your mind.
Now the day bleeds
Into nightfall
And you're not here
To get me through it all
My heart churned as I balled up the paper in my fist. No more denial, maybe he was right, I couldn’t hide what ruthful doubt that slithered into my mind - a ruthless snake. But what would I say? I swore a vow, but why would my heart not listen? He knows the borders, the insults we unleashed. But why do you keep denying what’s tittering on the edge of your mind?
I groaned in frustration, tidying a loose strand of my hair before tucking away the crumpled piece of paper within the folds of my skirt. I was in dire need of a walk. Some fresh air should do the trick. I need someone to help with all this pain it’s not meant to be.
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you loved
The birds chirped in harmony, as I walked down the garden path, inhaling the fresh scent of the roses and wildflowers father had instructed to be planted years ago; every year they came back reminded me of him, and how much the ache of his loss tore at my heart - an embedded thorn too painful to forget.
“Oh Papa, you would’ve loved to have been there when he proposed. It was at the most inconvenient of times,” I chuckled reaching out for a white rose, his favorite. “He came up to me, no reason at all, sputtering his affections and adoration. But do you know what I did, Papa?” the tears began to flow as I choked out, “ I denied him Papa, I didn’t know what to do! I feel foolish, we’re both so stubborn!”
I'm going under and this time I fear there's no one to turn to
This all or nothing way of loving got me sleeping without you
“And was my stubbornness in vain? You are so unsure of yourself,” I froze as an amused chuckle came from beside me. The presence was overwhelming, my heart thrummed, aching to be released from my chest. I brushed the tears away on my sleeve, turning quickly to catch a glance at the tall figure who had approached at a most inconvenient time.
I fought the urge to roll my eyes. “You have got to be joking.”
“No, not really. You just so happened to confess your fear again into the expanse of nothingness before you,” came his stark reply.
“Please be joking,” this time I faced him, looking deep within his hazel eyes. Were they always this glorious shade of entwined green and blue? His gaze deepened, stopping my heart. The birds around us stopped singing, the trees stood unmoving, eerily quiet. The entire atmosphere seemed frozen as if a spell were cast. I foolishly hoped I hadn’t sounded desperate. The last thing he needed was another source of kindling to ignite my flames.
“I’m afraid it doesn’t work like that.” He pulled me in, grasping my waist with strong, sturdy hands. I could taste his breath on my lips as he shuddered, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. “You’re too stubborn to deny it. If your affections remain hidden, they may never come back again. It’s something I’m not willing to lose, but are you? ”
There was no time to think before his lips crashed against mine, gentle, warm, and desperate from lack of any affection. I breathed him in, wanting more, the warmth of our bodies pressed together, far too much denial and hatred swept away in a single moment. I couldn’t get enough of him as I tangled my hands in his raven locks, sighing with every touch he bestowed upon my aching body.
Now, I need somebody to know
Somebody to heal
Somebody to have
Just to know how it feels
“See, it’s not healthy to be in denial for eternity,” he grinned cheekily breaking apart to brush away an unruly curl of my hair. I smiled shyly. His fingers were so light and gentle, as if I were the most precious thing in his universe.
“Mr. Darcy, you are ever so surprising. Suppose we bestow the news upon any acquaintances?”
“Oh I suspect the news will get around to my Aunt eventually, but maybe we could continue our walk?” he questioned, raising a mischievous brow before wrapping his arm behind me protectively. I leaned into him, happy and content as we continued to stroll through the garden. The birds chirped happily and the trees now danced with ease, happiness swarming throughout the air, joyous, serene, and calm.
I couldn’t hide my smile no matter how much I tried. I was madly in love, no longer caring about the expectations of my family or scrutinizing friends. We would run away together as husband and wife.
“Mrs. Darcy, we should probably go inside,” Mr. Darcy interrupted my thoughts, bringing me to a halt by the side door where Anna was standing, mouth agape. She moved out of the way as I paid her no heed, most likely to spread gossip to the others; however, at the moment I did not care
“Oh, I guess the news can be held off just a little while longer. At least join me for some tea, darling?”
“I would like nothing more, Mrs. Darcy,” he grinned sweeping me into his arms, promises seeping from his lips. Oh what blissful eternity we would spend together as one. My heart reeled, aching with such happiness.

“Come on Greg,” I purred, pushing away the doughnut from his hand. While nestled comfortably on his lap I could clearly see how the rise and fall of his chest grew heavier with each syllable slipping from my lips. His eyes roamed up and down my body, clearly dismissing his now discarded doughnut as it lay helpless on the floor. This prompted me to purr louder in his ear, sending ripples of pleasure through his being. That is, until you grasped his waist, ever so skillfully pulling out shiny and recently polished handcuffs. He groaned in response, reaching up to tangle his calloused, yet warm hands in my wavy locks. “Oh hell no, put those back.”
“These pretty things? Of course…not,” I smirked, leaning down to brush my lips against his. I was rewarded with a whimper as I pulled away, but remained merely centimeters from his chest. His heart rate was increasing by the minute, heat pooling between us.
He bit his lip, squirming against me. I could feel his need growing from under me. “You really don’t have to use those. Only prisoners need them.”
I raised a brow. “What a brilliant observation. You are my prisoner now. Such a naughty boy,” my voice turned sultry, tinted with desire. He shifted under me, drawing his fingers to his hardening member. I grasped his wrist, using as much force as I could muster to hold him against the chair and wrapped the handcuffs around his exposed wrists.
“Dammit, woman.” he sighed, his silver hair falling into his eyes. I gazed at him, adoration that once shimmered there now replaced with malicious intent. He needed me and would not let a pair of damned handcuffs stop him.
“Such a good boy. Are you ready to claim your reward for your cooperation? Awe look at you, so helpless, so…weak.”
His legs trembled, feet tapping fervently against the floor. “I’m not your prisoner, you know. I catch the bad guys,” a measure of confidence imploded in him.
“Oh, you’re not, now, are you?” I snarled as I hitched up my skirt, before grinding against his prominent erection. His moans were a glorious cacophony penetrating through the walls of the Yard.
“Oh, mmm please, bloody fucking hell, I need you, alright!” his hips thrust up against mine as I draped my hands across his neck, savoring the feel of him, or part of him.
“I need you now, Greg. I will have you right here and now. No one will stop me.” I made quick work of his pants, disposing them underneath his desk. Immediately his member leaked as I grasped it in my hand, pumping it sure and steady. Greg’s panting grew louder until I finally plunged into him, uniting us as one. “Greg, gah you’re so perfect.
“Hell, you’re tight.” he panted, sucking on a tender spot of my neck as I brought him down for our release. “Please, harder, I’m about to…” his voice cut out into a moan as we both came for what felt like an infinite time.
I slumped against him, listening to his raging heart, my breath steadying out to equal his. He smirked, looking at my tired form curled in his lap.
“You know I would cuddle with you, but…” he tilted his head back. “Handcuffs, damn handcuffs. You have to have the keys somewhere.”
I raised my head lazily from his toned chest. “Keys, what keys?”
