coming to korea, moonsik really hadn’t had a lot of friends. work had been stressful, adapting to the society and everything surrounding it hadn’t been easy and over all he did miss his home country. people here, although mostly friendly, did mock him at times for not pronouncing words the right way and while he was trying his best, it rarely felt enough. contrary to all of this was spending time with miseon. although moonsik was shy, worried about doing something wrong, the female never actively made him feel bad about anything. it seemed like she was turning to be the first friend he managed to make outside of taeil’s coworkers and their friend. a friend, he managed to make on his own.
it was a true surprise when the female broke down in front of him and he tried to do his best making her feel better. it wasn’t easy, still worried he was doing things right, his lisp coming out here and there when he asked her questions until he noticed that it did work. hat the female didn’t cry anymore, seemed less sad. he counted it as a success, got more confident with whatever he asked.
“there’s.. nothing you need to thank me for.” the male easily replied, voice kept low to match her whisper. his arms wrapped around her shoulders as he pulled her slightly closer to himself, hopefully as something that seemed caring. not pressuring or overwhelming. “sometimes, we all need someone to lean on. humans aren’t made to be strong at all times and it’s okay to break down. only though if you’re willing to get up. be it with help or not.” he nudged her slightly, a soft smile spread over his lips. “i’m.. hoping you feel better? actively and not just because some time passed?”
