I’ve been slightly wary that ED might kill the child off purely because of the disconnect ED have had in the narrative, as if they’ve pre disconnected the audience from it (and the mother) beforehand BUT if ED went that route surely they would have wanted the most emotional impact from it which this birth just won’t have. Hopefully ED go down a more appropriate route for the sl and the baby.*prays its adams/ross’* and causes drama that way!

I was pretty confident right around the time of the breakup they would end up killing it just because but then they completely disconnected from the narrative. They’ve made Robert feel nothing. They’ve given Rebecca no POV and then removed Aaron almost completely. So to me, it doesn’t have the same emotional impact it would have had if they had gone a different route. 

I can’t stop thinking about how great the Adam is the dad story would be. It would be massive. Everyone thinks his exit will be connected to Emma but nope it’s cause he knocked up Rebecca. He was really playing up wanting to be a dad today and how him and Vic were solid. How they had worked through everything. It would be amazing.

I see the set up for that storyline though. There are so many setups for so many different stories which...I guess its part of the process, but it drives me up a wall. I would love to see how it effects men since we usually only see how this affects women. It would be an exciting way to give Robert some humanity in the GA’s eyes (I love Robert no matter what) and move some plots along especially Aaron. 

I think this fandom is too creative and too smart for the show sometimes. :-)

robert has such a low opinion of himself, especially after this, i don’t know how you could not look at him and know how desperate he is to confess, how much he wants aaron to know that he’s screwed up.

i can’t handle this.

they didn’t just talk about her…they all got on, chrissie was at least meant to be close to her…she looked after lachlan etc. they totally retconned that for robron plot and have just kept retconning…

omg, imagining them getting on it’s so weird. and tbh, if she was so close to her family, where was she when lawrence had an heart atack? and when this lachlan trial went on about alicia (i can’t quite remember that, but i think he went to the court wasn’t he?).. so many stuff, happened and she was missing. and now, they can’t even stand the same room : all just to create drama, not only to robron, but also to the whites. it’s so weird.

I agree we could do with seeing more happier times between robron its why i love the pub quiz stuff BUT how many couples on soap actually get that…apart from david/tracey? The show have tried soo hard to show that Robert/R is just not a thing from his side…at all. Which considering it is a soap and could have easily gone there, its pretty amazing we have had so much ‘fakeness’ instead!

This is super true. Only David/Tracy and Bob/Brenda really get the they are super cute and funny stories. Paddy/Rhona have gone through some dark stuff. I also think about how dark Coira’s stuff has been over the years with cute bits sprinkled in and out of there. I just don’t know what more the show can do and Ryan. I mean I think Ryan is crushing this shit. He’s so fucking fake. You can just tell. But you see what you want to see.

Ryan’s been soo good, you don’t even have to watch you can just here the changes in his voice! I just feel like if you can’t see what this robert/r stuff is by this point where its been so clearly presented as him essentially hating everything not aaron related, you are never going to see it. And thats not us ‘reaching’. Its whats on screen.

The thing with Liv is ED have had her drink when she is hitting out/low and it doesn't matter whether she has Gabby beside her or not so it isn't social drinking, she hides it, having a pint at the pub is v different to what Liv is doing. Another thing that makes me think the sl is alcohol is this emphasis on her not taking responsibility, she drinks and the blame is placed elsewhere, shes not learning its wrong for her to do it, its been framed as a problem.

Gabby usually has Liv by her side when she’s drinking. Liv does it alone all the time and even got so blasted at the wedding she had to be put to bed. I never understood why that was the choice to explain Liv’s absence unless there was a bigger story happening. Also, IM said they had been dropping hints back in February before we even saw the Liv/Rebecca scene. 

Anyways, I think it could be really well done. Last week Liv barely acknowledged that her stealing the booze and drinking the first place was bad. She didn’t acknowledge it after her birthday either. Personally, I don’t keep alcohol in my house because I live alone. I don’t drink alone or when I am super stressed out because of the history of alcoholism in my family. My parents also chose not to drink in front of my brother and me as children and they didn’t keep it in the house so it wasn’t something we normally saw growing up because of that history. So yeah, maybe I have a different POV than a lot of people, but I find Liv’s behavior very troubling and I think it could be a great story.
