It was routine at this point.

Strange. He'd never think it would have occurred with the boy - now man (but it was hard to adjust to this fact always) - but apparently it just fell into place. Eyes like fire searched the clouded but sunny sky, looking for the usual signs of the young male to be flying about. The chatter and laughter of people wrapped around him, but he paid no mind. Their lives were inconsequential -- even though perhaps, he should learn to appreciate society more nowadays.

Especially now .. that he was trying to curb certain things.

A smirk stretched his face, as he soon spotted the other - or at least thought he had.

There is an unfortunate tendency, he believes, to see the whole and miss the parts. To witness Darkness and see nothing but horror, when even in Darkness, like in Light, there are little, precious differences.
