The ever present reminder to her that she is her father's favorite. Of course she was. His first born and heiress. It wasn't enough to disillusion her, no matter how much her inner child wanted to remine in this gilded cage of the a house.

Celeste knew how valuable she was in this grand scheme. She knew things about the Guardians and their plans. Plus, her safety could easily be used to blackmail Oswald and keep him from joining the fray.

Instead of thinking about it and starting an argument and risking her chance to escape, she decided to bring up a good point. She looked back at her close before looking at her clothes, grass and dirt stained from her attempt to flee. She's suddenly glad that she decided on her jean shorts and a simple t-shirt, and not one her more favored outfits to visit her mother's grave.

"Sooo...What are we gonna do about clothes? I don't think they're gonna fit and these are filthy."

Yellow flicked down to comb over her appearance- it felt a wave of brief confusion to the elder. She... can't be this tall, I... He shut his eyes and shook his head. Being within the present age still feels like a strange dissonance, unfamiliarity stretched before him despite not much having been changed. Like a wave, it still crashed at the edges of his mind, reminding him all but of the current age. He almost wants to laugh it off- but he always pulls himself back from such an action, away from the ledge.

He tsk's, trying to focus now on the situation at hand, and so, yellow blooms back onto the environment. "We will go out to one of the shops. But there will be conditions, of course- in order to keep you safe." Boots scrape close, and he puts a finger onto her forehead, muttering foreign words. After a few seconds, he steps backwards, wearing a small smile.

"Everything will be fine, my dear Celeste."

“You’ve lost your mind if you think I’m going to let you anywhere near Aang. You’re right. Ansem is your responsibility, so you deal with him away from our world. Stop pulling more innocent people into this war.”

"I must gain a upper hand- something that he does not expect. And pulling anyone from my World isn't going to do justice," the elder argued, desperation clinging within his otherwise cold vibration. "And the Avatar would be more than perfect for that job- especially considering Ansem also can invade worlds much like myself." He bit his tongue- he was sure that it would put an incentive within Zuko. It had to.

His steps halt in place. "Just for that, I won't,'' he smoothly says, not bothering to turn around to speak to the darkling. "And? Again- they will sharpen my abilities."
