This is an especially hard week for true animal lovers. Our feeds are filled with photos of murdered babies. We wonder how the people we love, people we know are kind and good, can contribute to animal suffering and death and not care. We wonder how people can talk about love, peace, compassion and joy yet celebrate the holidays with violence and apathy. You’ll have to try and understand why we can’t “like” the photos of your holiday dinners, why we might unfollow you, why we might go quiet for awhile. It’s not that we don’t like or love you but it hurts to realize you don’t care about animals. It hurts to know you think a meal is more important than a life. They want to live.
