Alexis was an American entertainer and activist. Alexis got involved in the entertainment industry at the age of 12 by first appearing in music videos. She has appeared in Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986), Pulp Fiction (1994), and is best known for playing the Boy George looking singer in the film The Wedding Singer (1998) singing ‘Do you really want to hurt me’ repeatedly.
Alexis was born male in Los Angeles, California, US. He is from a Jewish background, as well as French-Canadian ancestry. Alexis is from a well-known Arquette family; his siblings are David Arquette, Rosanne Arquette and Patricia Arquette.
In 2014, Alexis claimed she had sexual intercourse with actor Jared Leto and spoke openly about his private part, “I had sex with Jared Leto back when I was presenting as a male. And, yes, it's not only massive; it's like a Praetorian Guard's helmet”.
Alexis identified as female, worked as a female impersonator and started the process for sex reassignment surgery. Alexis was an advocate for transgenders.
In 1987, Alexis contracted HIV and suffered numerous health issues as a result. She was placed in an induced coma and died in 2016, aged 47 from myocarditis from HIV.
