The drive had been long, but well worth it in your opinion. The boys hadn’t taken a break in (probably) years, and you were just using your birthday for an excuse.
You demanded a beach day.
The best part about it was that Jack had never seen the beach before. Sam and Dean had been at one point or another, but most of Jack’s life had been spent in the Apocalypse world...no time for beaches there. (Although, you realized, there had been plenty of sand.) You had absolutely no idea about Castiel, though...maybe the beach was where he went when he disappeared for days on end.
When the Impala came to a stop, you practically jumped out of the car. The ocean air around you was just what you needed and you took a deep breath.
“Ahh,” you sighed, a smile on your face. You turned back toward the four men, seeing them watching you. “Last one to the water is a rotten Leviathan!” you yelled, springing into action.
You heard a couple of “Hey!”s behind you, and Dean muttered something like, “Better not get any sand in Baby,” before you heard four sets of feet following you.
By the time you got to the water’s edge, you were laughing. You turned to see Jack take his first steps into the water, a smile on his face.
Yes, this was exactly what you all needed.

SPNOrl: A Summary
-Orlando was beautiful this weekend (thank you for being hospitable to my friends, homestate. Brownie points for not embarrassing us Floridians.)
-I got to hang out all weekend with @missselinakitty @thewhiterabbit42 @omgreganlove and @sundog-fl .
(BTW @thewhiterabbit42 is SO beautiful inside and out IRL and her and her crazyfun cuz' @omgreganlove are the most gracious and accomodating of hostesses. They make me weep.)
-I got to meet @consulting-cannibal and she's super sweet and gorgeous and funny (and totally made me feel accepted when I was absolutely wordvomiting all over her). I am such a fangirl. She's amazing. PLEASE go support her work!
-The venue itself was gorgeous.
-Everyone was so nice.
-I did something so terribly far from my comfort zone and ended up getting a hilarious picture with Rich.
RESULT: I loved every moment of my vacation.
