Percabeth and 5? “Don’t yell at me like I’m a child!!” - “DON’T THROW SCISSORS!”
Annabeth was frazzled and Percy was worried. Her hair was puffier than usual, with stray strands escaping her loose bun, and she had three different mugs on her desk - one with tea, one with coffee, one with hot chocolate. Percy hadn’t known how to comfort her all night, so he just kept bringing her hot drinks and trying to stay quiet. What ever project she had due in the morning had been putting her through hell all weekend, and she looked nearly ready to drop.
Percy had tried rubbing her shoulders, bringing her snacks, and suggesting breaks all night, but when he walked over to take away her empty drink cups, she snapped at him. “Just please stop moving!”
Percy stepped back, shocked at her outburst. Annabeth buried her face in one hand, and reached the other one towards him. “I’m sorry ... I’m just ... overwhelmed and my senses are going nuts.” Percy took her hand and kissed her forehead.
“Do you want to talk about it?” He asked.
Annabeth turned away from him, staring at her work, “It’s just this stupid project! It won’t ... I just ... Everything sucks!” She threw one of her pencils on the ground. Percy tried to rub her back to comfort her, but she just got angrier. “Stupid class! Stupid project! It’s just stupid!” She picked up her plastic pen cup and threw it as far as she cool, sending pens, pencils, and scissors flying, breaking the plastic cup.
“Annabeth!” Percy yelled. “Everything is going to be okay! Just relax!”
“Don’t yell at me like I’m a child!”
“Then don’t throw scissors!” Percy knelt down next to her, holding her hands.
“I’m sorry,” she said, taking a deep breath, “I just want this to be done.”
Percy kissed her hands, “I know. But I’m sure it’s great, just take a deep breath. Everything will be okay.”
Annabeth leaned down and kissed him. “Thank you. I’m sorry for throwing things.” Percy kissed her again, standing to reach her more easily.
“It’s okay, I know you’re frustrated. But I’m sure it’s going to be great, so just relax,” he ran his thumb over her cheek, kissing her gently again before letting her turn back to her work.
