The problem with MRP mockery blogs is that they haven’t quite reached a state of enlightenment about RP. As in, it hasn’t yet dawned on them that making fun of people’s roleplay and characters and writing won’t actually stop them from RPing, making characters and writing.
People playing concepts these mockery blogs don’t approve of are still out there, having fun. Meanwhile people behind the blogs find themselves utterly miserable. Because a) suddenly they’re afraid of scrutiny of their own RP and b) people will avoid them like the plague if they know who they are.
And then it doesn’t dawn on them that the reason people are avoiding them is because they’ve become toxic individuals who aren’t out for fun unless that fun is hurting other people.
And who wants to be around that.
