Hello! If the title wasn’t clear enough, (which I’m sure it wasn’t), The Writing Hour is a blog that one can post either their own original pieces on or some pieces they just love in general! If you never have had a Writing Hour before, a writing hour is an hour you take to just write something and then optionally share it with those around you. (If you’re alone, improvise tiger!)
Traditionally, writing hours are started with a certain prompt, or a theme to write to. A prompt could be in the form of a one-sentence statement, a picture or even a song( one of my personal favorites). One of the most important rules to remember about a writing hour is that there are no rules. There is nothing to stop the author from writing anything that pops into their head, assuming of course that the author is respectful with any genre that they right. However if it is not (meaning that their writings are racist, sexist, or writes hatred against one’s race, color, sex, gender, and/or identity.), then it will not be posted on the blog.
I’m all up to making fun of one’s politics though, because that’s what God created Republicans for. Anyways newcomer, welcome to the planet of amateur writing. Enjoy!
