Maybe we were two lonely souls

in an infinite number of universes.

Perfectly timed. Opposite revolutions.

When our worlds ceased to take turns,

we found ourselves staring at each other’s eye.

Half consciously exchanging our breaths as we stood

in a random street on a random time with random people.

Maybe we were two lonely souls

drowned by life’s absurdities and vagueness.

That when our universe began to move again,

adverse was ours once more.

We were motionless, half alive, barely breathing.

Amongst the eerie place we stood,

under the showering meteors,

between the exploding universes

we were static. We were frantic.

Did you feel the extemporaneity of our souls for the fist time in a lifetime?

Maybe we were two lonely souls

searching for our own cosmos.

That when our worlds have stopped to rotate for the second time,

our eyes have met again.

To our timeless sonatas of pleasure, pain and emptiness;

we found ourselves at each other’s soul.

Maybe we were two lonely souls

before our worlds collide.

Maybe we were two lonely souls

gone in the midst of irrationalities.

Maybe we were two lonely souls

caged with the unexisting limits.

Maybe we were two lonely souls

before we found our infinite universe at each other
