I have no title for this story, I started it back in March but never finished chapter two. I’m inclined to continue this story, but that’s only if I get feed back from you guys. But, without further or do, Chapter 1...
Warning: Mild angst, loving fluff, pending sadness, and short and erotic smut...
Water trickled down my body as I stood under his shower head. I lathered my body with the dove body wash that coated the loafa sponge, that rested in the palms of my small hands. Scrubbing away all the dirt I had mustered up from being out on the streets for nearly a year now. I turned the the water dial up to scolding, I just wanted to burn away all the pain, grit, and tragedy I had ever been in or through. This road has been a hard one to come spiraling down, from being addicted to cocaine and homeless because of it. I was tired, resentful, and damaged. I was grateful, I wasn't dead, sickly, or lost my beautiful features. That I was so willing to let fade away all because of a quick hit and momentary high.
I washed my hair throughly, watching as brown gunk flowed down his drain as I felt the weight of my hair becoming lighter, yet fuller. My curls came back to me instantly. I deep conditioned my hair after several washes feeling so clean now, mentally and physically. I turned my back to the water dials and noticed him standing there. He gawked intently at me through the glass shower door, almost menacingly. I noticed his eyes never wandered away from my eyes, showing no real emotion either. He suddenly held up a towel, some black shorts and a black old very small sweatshirt that looked like it could no longer fit him. He placed the items down on the bathroom vanity, before his eyes travelled back up to mine. He simply averted his gaze and collected himself quickly before stepping out of the bathroom once again leaving me be.
I hadn't noticed, myself blushing and smiling lightly at the thought of him at all after our slight oogling session. I turned to finish my shower and soon came out twenty minutes later. I looked in his wall length vanity mirror above the black marble bathroom counters and twin glass sinks. My complexion looking so rejuvenated and not as dull as it did before. I felt like a new person, better than I've felt in a long time. A fresh start taking me over, I felt anewed in a sense. I looked away from my face as I picked up the spare tooth brush and continued my hygiene process.
I found myself sliding the bathroom door open, expecting to see him sitting on his bed. To my surprise, he wasn't in his room at all. This let me take in his room décor, I admired the masculine decor of his room, everything was either black, silk, satin, or some variation of gray. I checked over my surroundings, taking in the massive space. He had a private balcony, a sitting area, a walk closet with clothes stacked to the brim it seemed. The room was great, big, and beautiful in my eyes. After learning the space for a while, I heard a light cough come from outside of his master suite double doors as I approached them. I walked down the all white long winded hallway, noticing how monotonous his home truly was. No pictures, just the same tedious color scheme that displayed variaties of only gray and black.
At the end of hallway I was met by the living room and dining room first. The great big room held the living room on the right and the left the dining room area. The partially open kitchen and foyer meeting directly in the middle. Having to walk through the foyer past the kitchen opening to get to the main space of the apartment. I examined everything closely, I admired the floor to ceiling windows on both sides of the space. From the looks of the view we were considerably high up, I started to remember it now.
He lived in the penthouse suite of Mackintosh Towers, the highest luxury living place in all of Cincinnati. I admired the view the sky was now a deep violet, fuchsia, and burnt orange haze. All it told me was that the sun was now setting and night time had fallen upon us. I sighed hearing water running from the kitchen now snapping me out of my thoughts. I tried to approach with caution steadily but I was soon greeted by a light tap on my shoulder. I turned and noticed a woman who looked to be in her late twenties smiling sweetly at me. as I stepped back in a small panic. I didn't know he wasn't alone, I'm not surprised but still it has caught me off guard. The woman batted her long voluptuous lashes, as she placed her hand on mine gently.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I was just resting on the couch and heard your light footsteps pass me by. I just had to get up and meet you. My name is Reona, Erik's wife." She said to me as she held my hand in hers. I just looked at her skeptically still a little taken back by her.
"What's your name sweetheart?" She asked me, I sighed feeling a little uneasy now.
"I-i-i'm Cassie, did he tell you about me?" I asked her softly as I didn't want there to be any confusion or misunderstanding on why I'm really here in the first place.
"Of course, it actually was my idea to bring you in. We saw you drenched in sewage water and rain and just knew we had to help you. How do you feel now?" She asked me sweetly, as I now felt a little better knowing that she knew why I had invaded her home practically.
"I feel great, thank you so much. I would've never survived that storm this afternoon, if it weren't for you guys." I said to her as she still held my hand and smiling at me. She had a beautiful smile, pretty dark glowing skin, and long straight hair.
"You're very beautiful Cassie, come sit with me in the dining room while my husband prepares us a special dinner." Reona says still with my hand in hers, she pulls my chair out for me as I sat at the foot of the table. I noticed that she only set three plates up one to my left and the other to my right. She took a seat to my right.
"So, care to share how you, this beautiful girl have been placed in this horrible predicament?" She asked me making me shift and cross my left leg over my right and face my body towards her now.
"Drugs and losing my husband." I said softly, it was still a sensitive topic for me to discuss.
"I started to use after the abrupt loss of my husband of only three years, not a day goes by where I don't think of him still. He was such a great, charmingly handsome, strong, and sweet man. I adore him still, he never leaves my mind for to too long." I admitted thinking of his soft honey brown eyes and pretty white smile. His dark chocolate skin and multiple tattoos that coated arms, back, and chest gracefully. I spent hours tracing every tattoo, every dent, curve, slant, just outlining his impeccable frame making sure he as a whole stayed engrained in the center of brain so he would never get lost. I longed for him all over again.
"What happened to him sweetheart?" She asked me with much concern noticing that I drifted off into my own space just thinking about the man I still love with all of my being and heart.
"A motorcycle accident, he was hit by a semi-truck as he was crossing a yellow light that had turned red right before he flew into open traffic. He was my daredevil and idiotic husband. He drove me crazy, but never letting me forget how insanely in love I was with him. I'm still in love to be honest." I said as I sat back in my chair, she just looked at me with worried eyes. I noticed her whole demeanor change, was starting to feel bad for me and I didn't want her to.
"Don't, don't let me make you uncomfortable in your own home. If my tragedy makes you feel sympathy for me or remorse, I will just go. I never want to be a discomfort or a burden on anyone." I said as I was about to stand and get up as she immediately softened up and flew up in her seat reaching out for me. I was about to turn and leave until I felt hands on my shoulders pushing me gently but forcibly back down into the king like seat.
"Not so fast, dinner is ready. I was just coming to get you two, but you're already here." I heard his husky voice rumble out from behind me, as his hands rested on my shoulders lightly. I didn't bother to look up at him, I just sat looking at his wife awkwardly as she smiled up at her husband in an adoring way. She leaned up towards him as he leaned passed me still holding my shoulders as they shared a sweet kiss. I caught myself staring up at them, feeling some type of way about this intimate gesture between the two. I felt out of place, like I wasn't suppose to be here any longer.
"Sit babe, I'll bring the food to the table. Thank you for cooking for us, we greatly appreciate it. Isn't that right Cassie?" His wife looks to me as she stood up fully patting her husband's cheek as he now clung to her body. He held her with so much possession and desire. You'd thought I was another man, wanting his wife as well.
"Mhm." I muttered out shyly, while nodding. They both gazed upon me, her with a blank expression and he with a raised brow. I felt like such an awkward mess right now. I fiddled with my hands and coward more into my seat. She kissed his cheek then, mine surprisingly, before walking into the kitchen.
"The shower did you some good I hoped?" He asked me I nodded shyly up at him as he towered over me. His broad shoulders and toned chest poked through his white v-neck as he looked down upon me. I made sure I didn't look directly left, because if I did I would be face deep in his crotch as he stood dangerously close to me.
"Good, I'm glad you feel comfortable." He said softly to me, and I just watched as he rounded me and sat down in the unoccupied seat on the other side of me. I felt him staring at me as I slowly, but surely rose my head to look directly into his piercing dark chocolate almond shaped eyes. He looked at me with a blank expression, he didn't even crack a smile my way this whole time. I started to become a little more antsy in my seat. I looked back down in my lap as he still gazed upon me, but not for long until his wife came entering the dining room again, with a cart full of food. She placed the dishes on the table and then poured us all a cup of red wine and water. I looked over at her watching her move around the table gracefully. She looked like the picture perfect trophy wife, she seemed so happy, carefree, and just brought even the most solemn person a sense of euphoria. I smiled watching her move.
"Stare any longer and I think my husband would feel intimidated by you love." She said to me as she placed the food on all of our plates. I froze knowing I had been caught in my gazing match. I didn't even bother to look over at him, I already felt his eyes boring holes into my soul. I slouched in my seat some more, feeling very self-conscious and a little more discomfort now. She just smiled down upon me playfully, as I returned a weak one that didn't reach my eyes quite fully.
"Okay now, lets all join hands." She finally said while taking her seat and grabbing my hand from out my lap and so did her husband. I felt a wave rush through my body as we all clasped our hands together and bowed our heads in silence.
"Father God, we thank you and for grace today lord. Blessing over this lovely meal my husband prepared for Cassie and I lord. I just love that man to death do us part. I want to ask you to bless and watch over Cassie lord, she was lost but now is found and we will continue to help her to the road of recovery. In Jesus name we humbly pray, Amen." She said as she gently let my hand go and I just stared at her with lots of emotions running through my mind. It wasn't until I heard the clinking of forks on the plate, when I realized I needed to start eating. I didn't want to raise too much concern.
"I hope your okay with salmon Cassie, my husband and I are pescatarians." Reona told me, I nodded quickly and raised my hand.
"I love all food, I would never show a distaste for fish." I said as I held up my fork, she smiled and nodded at me as I looked down at my plate. I found myself looking over towards him as he ate quietly eyes focused on his plate. I prayed that I would act decent in front of them, lord knows when I had ate or even had a home cooked meal like this. I was so grateful for the food that was about nourish my belly.
"You're going to eat right?" He spoke to me, catching our attention. He eyed me while placing his fork full of Asian Thai salad to his mouth. I nodded and took a bite of the salad as well.
"How do you like my cooking?" He asked me as he stared at me intently. I cross my right leg over my left shifting in his direction uncomfortably.
"It's really good. I love the salad." I told him as he nodded and went back to his own food not before sharing a look or two with his wife who looked between us the whole time. She smiled at me softly as I began to eat more of food.
"You really out did yourself tonight honey, wow this meal just has me feeling stuffed." His wife exclaimed leaning back in her chair lazily. He smirked and then nodded at her. She slowly sat up and eyed him with a light smile coming onto her face.
"Thank you honey for the food." She said to him as she grabbed his hand from across the table. She looked into her husband's dreamy dark eyes lovingly.
"Cassie how was your food sweetie?" She asked me as I snapped out of my daydreams once again. I looked at both of them as they stared at me now. His wife with a small smile and he with a raised brow again.
"It was spectacular, thank you Mr..." I trailed just now noticing that I never caught his name. He chuckled lowly cracking a pretty white smile and his two little dimples caving in on both side of his cheeks now. His purely caramel complexion radiating under the low lighting in the dining room.
"Call me Michael or Mr. Jordan, my wife is way better than me at formalities. My apologies for not introducing myself ahead of time." He said to me softly, still deeply chuckling. His voice full of sultry and confidence. I tingled just hearing it every time he uttered a word out.
"Cassie Shepherd." I said to both of them with a little smile. It grew silent again, but a more comfortable silence. I felt his wife reach and grab my hand in hers.
"Michael and I wanted to know if you would like to stay with us a little longer? Till you at least get yourself together, a job, a apartment, or even rehab for your previous habit." She asked me sweetly as I looked into her eyes, searching them for any genuineness. She seemed to be certain with her idea not raising any red flags for me. I looked to her husband and found him looking at me as well. We made eye contact and I immediately felt like I was ready to cower under his intense stare again.
"Um, are you sure? I could leave if you aren't certain about this. I don't want to intrude on you guy's happy home. I'm not here to be a burden." I said once again, they both seemed to start chuckling at my nervousness and uncertainty.
"Sweetheart, one thing you are going to learn quickly about us Jordans, we are always certain. When we say something we mean it, when we want something we go after it, and when we want to do something we do it without hesitation." She spoke to me calmly, making herself crystal clear. I nodded understanding her every word.
"So what do you say?" Michael asked now, I sighed and looked from my plate and up at the both of them again.
"I'll stay. Thank you so much for this opportunity, I won't let you guys down. I will be out of your hair in no time." I exclaimed, they both chuckled and nodded.
"Take your time, there's no rush. We just have a couple of house rules for you. Matter of fact, how would like to get paid an allowance for your a few housely duties?" Reona said to me as she smirked and Michael looked at his wife with slanted eyes.
"Sure, what would you like me to do?" I asked readily, if I was going to live in this beautiful home I knew I would have to carry my weight around here completely...
