Hcs for taking Darry on a surprise vacation to a lake him for your one year dating anniversary and inviting the gang along?

-You knew that Darry’s dream vacation would be a simple weekend at a house on a lake so when your anniversary came along you knew it was perfect.

-Especially because you knew he was stressed a lot more lately.

-But for some reason you thought it would be a good idea to bring the gang along.

-You all drove there. You and Darry were alone driving while all the other guys rode in a separate car.

-Once you got there they all pretty much disappeared to explore and it was nice and peaceful.

-You and Darry brought in the luggage before going out to sit on the dock.

-It was peaceful until all of the boys ran past you down the dock and into the water.

-Darry does not want a cat.

-Like at all.

-He thinks they’re annoying and all they do is scratch you.

-He takes it from you to put it outside but when he opens the front door he sees that it’s raining.

-And he looks down at the little thing and sighs deeply.

-He says it’s just for the night.

-But one night turns into a week.

-And you’ve named it and all of the other guys have grown attached.

-And Darry is to stubborn to admit that he has too.

-But you always come home and see the little kitten sleeping in his lap or on his chest.

-He says it just crawled up there and fell asleep.

-And that he’d never pick it up on his own because he’s to afraid of squishing it in his big hands.

-But you always catch him picking it up when no ones around and kissing the top of its head.

Do you have any Darry and Dally friendship headcanons? 💛

-Darry treats Dally just like a brother.

-They met when Dally was fifteen and Darry and his family kind of took him in.

-Dally didn’t leave there or anything but he was there all the time.

-Not took him over a year before he was comfortable with Darry.

-But Darry never judged him.

-He always tried to show Dally how to do normal kid things that Dally never knew before because of how he was raised.

-Things changed a lot after Darry’s parents died.

-Dally went wild and had trouble going to their house for a while.

-But Dally was actually really good at checking up on Darry after that happened.

-He’d always call them or come by to make sure Darry was doing okay.

-Dally always goes with Darry to the next town over to meet women.

-Darry is the only one who can get Dally to talk about his life.

-And Darry is the only one who ever dared give Dally a hug.

-When they first met Darry called him ‘bud’ or ‘buddy’ or 'brother’

-Dally always acted annoyed at that but he secretly loved 'brother’

-Those nicknames slowly faded out as they both grew older.

-Dally once found an abandoned house in the woods and he liked to stay there sometimes if he was desperate for a place to crash.

-And Darry was the only one he ever took their until Dally started to get close with Johnny.

-Darry is the only one who isn’t scared by Dally.

-And Dally is the only one who isn’t intimidated by Darry.

-They don’t hang out as much after it all happened but they know they can go to each other for anything at anytime.

Update on this headcannon because I just thought of something:-Mr. Curtis is the one who gave them the nicknames Darry And Dally. He said because they spent so much time hanging out and we're practically brothers that their names kind of matching would be funny. Darry and Dally worked as a shortened version for both of their names and they sounded close and so Mr. Curtis started calling them that and then I just stuck with everyone.

Two questions :) 1) Do you think Dallas had any sympathy/empathy at all? 2) What were his thoughts of Ponyboy?

I think his thoughts on Ponyboy are very similar to his thoughts on Johnny but he keeps Johnny closer because Johnny doesn’t have brothers like Ponyboy. I feel like Dally actually feels the way he feels for Johnny for all of the gang but he just holds Johnny closer because his life is probably the most messed out of the others.

And I do think Dallas had sympathy/empathy. I think Dally has those feelings I think he cares and I think he loves. I think just think he’s really guarded because he was hurt so much in the past but also I think because of how he was brought up no one ever taught him what those things felt like and since his childhood never really gave him reason to feel those things it didn’t matter. But then he met the gang and he started feeling these new feelings and since he never knew them before he just passed it off as anger and other things when really it was love and empathy and everything else he never knew.

Do you have a master list?

No 😔 I’ve been wanting to make one but for whatever reason tumblr has like completely stopped working on my MacBook so I do all my posting from mobile and you can’t make master lists on mobile. I tried everything on my laptop like clearing history and clearing cookies but it will just go to the log in screen and when I click log in it won’t do anything no matter how long I let it sit there to load. So if anyone has had this issue and knows how to fix it I would deeply appreciate it buut in the mean time..

Haha no thank you! 💛 I’m always up for some Darry headcannons (he’s my favorite- shh don’t tell the others 😝). I actually posted a first date preference already so here are some random headcannons.

-Darry actually gets really flustered if he really likes a girl.

-He gets nightmares sometimes too about his parents death.

-He gets super hot when he’s asleep so even in the winter he can only have like a sheet on the bed.

-He also makes really good hot chocolate.

-And will only make it for people if the need to be cheered up.

-He drinks way to much coffee.

-It used to be just to wake up but now he loves the taste.

-He’s actually an amazing dancer and his brothers will often catch him doing so when he’s cooking dinner.

-He only gets annoyed at Ponyboy for reading all the time and always watching movies because those were both some of his favorite things to do and now he has no time for it.

-Sometimes a little resentment will spark in him because he has to take care of his brothers instead of college.

-But it’ll make him feel so guilty that he can’t sleep that night.

-And the next day- even if he and Soda have work and Pony has school- he’ll make them all stay home so they can spend the day as a family.

-And not have any worries for a day.

-And spending the day with his brothers always reminds him that it’s all worth it.

Hello! Could you maybe do some fluffy headcanons for Darry ? Like maybe cuddling or comforting ?

-Darry was good at picking up on when you were upset.

-He would sit you down at the kitchen table and make you a cup of hot chocolate.

-He was really good at it.

-He would sit with you and read the paper while you drank it.

-And he’d keep one hand in yours while you guys sat there.

-And then you two would go off to bed.

-He would hold you in his arms and rub your back when you both laid down.

-He would never let you fall asleep until you had told him what’s wrong.
