EVALUATION
Overall I myself think this project went surprisingly well seeing as we had a few ups and downs to start with and then near to the end we had our projector incident.
I think our images definitely portrayed the idea of surrender in a space of a car park and seeing as Callum was our model and wasn’t even in our group he did a great job with all his expressions and body languages that helped contribute to the outcome of showing how he was being a a boy who is struggling with his mental health. The word struggling stuck out for us and I remember us brainstorming on what colours reminded us of the word brainstorm and it was the idea of gloominess, dark colours, blues.
Projector wise, that made it trickier than expected, we wanted to convey our final idea for this project in an original way, even when we were editing we would put words on top of our sifted images and they just didn’t look as good as what we originally saw on the internet for inspiration. We thought if we were to project the words it look more original and give the images more creativity, meaning, and content. As I have said before in posts the idea of tape came up a couple of times but we unfortunately did not have the time to do all that before hand in, maybe next time something like this occurs, for starters be prepared for your final idea to not work and always have a plan B whatever the case or however easy your initial final idea is.
To conclude, as a group I think we worked well, the outcome of the images look great and really shout the meaning of a struggling frustrated boy who needs help, and the text over it and our semi colon does show a lot of awareness in the images. Our feedback was okay it was just that we should have added a bit bore text to the images, the images without any context to them were s bit misleading if you didn’t know what the semi colon meant, our tutors suggested to add a fact or a quote to each image to give the audience a better view on what we were trying to convey to them. The images aren’t what we would have hoped for due to the failed projector but afterwards, seeing as we only had photoshop and Lightroom to work with we all agree we did the best we could and yet the outcome was still great!
