Scene: Pre-CV3 Hector is laying down on one of the Castle's towers, just looking at the night sky, lost in thoughts. Then, Isaac joins him, and lays beside him.

Isaac: What are you thinking about?

Hector: Nothing you wouldn't find silly.

Isaac: Oh? Well now you *have* to tell me. Come on, humour me a little.

Hector: ... I was just wondering if there was a world, somewhere out there, where we just... Get to exist as two normal people. Where we live together in a humble home, happy in a quiet village, where the only threat around is how unpredictable the weather can be.

Isaac: ...

Hector: Do you think it's possible...? For... At least *some* version of us to have this kind of life?

Isaac: I think that if we ever got to grow up normally and have a peaceful life, we would've never liked each other.

Hector: ... I'm sure I would've still liked you if you weren't, well...

Isaac: What? Who I *am*?

Hector: No! That's not- I don't- I mean-

Isaac: Our hardships made us who we are, Hector. Take some pride in it! I wouldn't be *me* if I had any other kind of life, and neither would *you*. We'd be mere clones of ourselves. Would you really prefer a clone over the real thing?

Hector:... Okay. Maybe you're right.

Isaac: Of course I am. And so are you.

Hector: I am?

Isaac: Yeah. I *do* find those thoughts silly.

thinking about how palpatine manipulated anakin with his fake pleas for help after manipulating him for years and anakin turning to the dark side after he saved palpatine, vs luke telling vader there is always a choice to be better and believing there is still good in him, and his cries for his father to help him (not to manipulate him, only the sounds of a son reaching out for his father), and vader finally make the right choice and this brings him back to the light,,,,,,

char / charizard. his starter he got very young (aged four <33) and an almian rescue. went from a tiny, probably-won’t-survive hatchling to the nine foot powerhouse you see today

boonadette / gengar, his kanto rescue. likes to sneak into people’s homes and steal their wall decor. occasionally takes some cutlery and plates if she’s really vibing with their aesthetic choices

marshy / quagsire, his johto rescue. doesn’t have a single thought in his head except how much he loves making new friends and seeing his old ones

amias / sylveon, his first kalos rescue. his ribbons are a little too long for him, so he trips himself up a lot. is a brat who’s almost always sneaking into the closest mcdonalds to swipe people’s nuggets. loves attention

dasher / ampharos, a request partner given to leon by his father. he’s very adventurous and will challenge any and every pokemon that crosses his path. he and leon share the same terrible sense of direction, and often get lost together
