I’m thinking way too far into the future but...
It’s the wedding night of you and your s/o and the day has been amazing, everything you could ever hope. Everyone has had a blast, your friends and family. The first dance was magical, it brought you back to the first time you two danced to the song. You were young and in love and danced clumsily under the night sky but this moment? You’re older and more mature and have learnt to at least not step on your lovers foot.
But now its nearing the end. Everyone is tired and maybe at least a bit drunk but you’re after one final dance with your partner because you don’t want it to end. You ask the DJ for one more song - a slow song - just so the night becomes more memorable.
Fine Line by Harry Styles
Your partner either looks at you with the happiest smile or roles their eyes jokingly as if they knew you were about to play it. They dance with you anyway. The slow music playing in the background as you hold each other close and sway to the beat. Everyone notices but they don’t join, instead they crowd around and watch the happy couple revelling their last moments together on their happiest day of their life.
Filled with nostalgia, you think back to when you first met. You never thought you two would make it this far when you first looked into their eyes. Every argument you had together you thought would be the end but you somehow found your way back to each other.
The first moments of saying ‘I love you’ were precious and you will always remember how you felt when you finally heard them words.
The day of the proposal. It was special and romantic and you couldn’t believe it when they got down on one knee and promised you they would love you forever and always and this was one of the ways they could show you that they truly meant it.
Soon you both lean in as you share the final kiss of the night as the song comes to a close.
